What are your likes and dislikes concerning the Lincoln Corsair?

I just purchased a certified 2020 standard Corsair with all the possible packages (almost like a reserve)
Things that annoy me are:
Cannot hang up a call while using the GPS. You have to touch screen the control, go into phone and hang up. Not good when trying to follow the Map screen.
Nite mode. The GPS has a mind of it's own when the sun goes down. Maybe it will go into nite mode or not. The screen at nite can be almost blinding when not in nite mode. Work around is playing with the headlite switch and the console dimming switch to make it go into nite mode.
The radio is not great. The tweeters are cheep and at times don't seem to work. Stereo is a joke.
It takes a while for the sync 3 unit to turn on. My 2016 MKC within seconds was all turned on and ready to go. This one takes time to get up and ready especially the GPS.

But so far these are not game changers. All else considering I'm happy with the vehicle.

On your phone concern @rossn444kc , have you tried hanging up from the steering wheel? You can hit the phone button twice to hang up from the wheel preventing you from needing to do it on the touch screen.

I have and it doesn"t work. I find this to be somewhat of a hazardous issue

Interesting. Something worth bringing up with your dealer for sure.

I've mentioned a few pet peives on my 2022 Corsair phev. Lately, I've noticed it takes several minutes for the rear camera system to fully activate on startup. When backing out of our garage, some cross traffic is missed, no warning. When I wait a couple minutes, whether checking on something or just being slow, there system fully engages and sees the cross traffic/bikes/pedestrians. Not the most comforting system. Going to mention it at service time.

System start up is slow...I agree

Try hitting the unlock o your remote a minute or two before you head into the garage to start the car. It gives it a chance to "wake up" before actually starting.

Good luck!

Wonder if any of this is maybe not having current sync version ? Just a thought. Don’t know if you guys do or not

I've got sync 3.4 ver 22200
I am trying to confirm my version. When I look on the center screen it just tells me something about this is where the version is but it does not show the version. Can you help.

Thanks. I got it. I see I am on verBuild 21194 - but when I check for updates, it shows no updates available.

You will likely have to download the update from the Lincoln owner site and install it via USB. WIFI updates don't work for most...

Try checking on the website and not via WiFi. Our GT said we were up to date but when I went to the website it said there was. I ended up going from 21194 to 22200 with doing the usb update.

Sharbotcom, thanks. I found it and down loaded. Just need to find time to install.

That’s correct. There is an instruction page on how to make the stick. Follow it to the tee ! Format stick using fat 32 if it is an option !

Sharbotcom, thanks. I installed it and am now on build 22000. However the file to update the Lincoln record will not load so I still show an update needed. I see no problem from this now.
Now to update the maps. I see it will take an hour of the car running.

I had the same issue. Called sync support and they said they’re not using the file upload anymore. They said after some time the car will report to them it’s done and it will show no updates…..they were right. My file wouldn’t upload and recently I checked and it showed current

DomDoobie I was on the line with sync support for about 45 minutes this morning and they finally told me to do the start - stop - door open -etc dance to try to fix it. I hope mine updates on its own as your did.
This help is where this type of forum is very valuable.
