What are your likes and dislikes concerning the Lincoln Corsair?

If you go through the Lincoln Way app, you can set up the vehicle to precondition the HVAC for your usual leave time. This does not start the ICE. This may reduce the ICE running on drives during colder weather.

I am new to the Lincoln, so sorry if this has been answered before. For the discussion on the ICE running when it is cold and EV mode is selected, is it because the car wants to use the ICE for a heat source?

Hi AJ. Yes. You are correct. At times, and in certain situations, that is the reason.

In the vast majority of cases, when some owners think there is something wrong, the vehicle is actually running properly and all is well, but the owner is not yet used to and/or totally familiar with the PHEV technology. Which is one of the reasons it can be difficult at times to blind diagnose over the Internet as to whether a vehicle is operating properly or not.
And of course, sometimes the vehicle is not working properly. 🙃

But as far as how it should work, it is all actually pretty well explained in the Owners Manual.

Good luck. 🍻

YES YES! Always my favorite in the winter time. I just have to remember to cut it off when its 55 at night.

I absolutely loved my 2021 Corsair until the panoramic sunroof shattered for no reason. Come to find out that’s a common issue with these sunroof’s. The service I received from the dealership was not what I would have expected from Lincoln. To say I am disappointed in the dealership as well as Lincoln is an understatement. Oh by the way it’s a $16k repair.

I hope that shattered panel was covered under warranty.

Yes, these cars don't have a heat pump but rely on the ICE engine for that function. I do notice the engine coming on more often this winter.

It wasn’t. Lincoln said it wasn’t their issue even though there’s a history of these sunroofs shattering and several class action lawsuits have been filed.

Hunee3, if your vehicle is part of the class AND the lawsuit finds against Ford, you could get reimbursement.

Filing a lawsuit means little until a judgement has been reached.

Only 400 miles in so this is early and things may change with some time...

Likes:
Fit and finish.
Interior and exterior design.
Seat comfort and bolstering.
Seamless transfer between ICE and EV.
Ride quality and quiet interior.

Dislikes:
Battery capacity is a hair light.
Road noise when salt or sand has been applied to the road. Very noisy from the rear wheel wells.
Rear seat headroom. I'm 6'1" and just fit but my hair is getting a tickle unless I recline or tilt towards the moonroof.
No way to disable auto lock. (Or have I missed it in settings?)
Piano black.

Hi System. By Auto Lock, do you mean when the doors lock when we drive away and hit about 12 mph?

If yes: Unless the 2022 Corsair is different than other Lincoln models, there is a setting to enable/disable Auto Lock.

EDIT- After checking my MKZ, there is no system setting to disable Auto Lock. Only Auto Unlock. My thoughts are...The inability to disable Auto Lock is a safety measure.

Good luck.

I looked under lock settings and it wasn't there. Let me go look again...

Hi System. Yes...I am having an off night tonight. Brain Cloud! And I'm not even drinking yet. 🙃:ROFLMAO:

I think I may have Auto Lock and Auto Unlock confused. So ignore my previous reply until I have a chance to go out and check the settings in my vehicle.
As a safety measure, Auto Lock may not have a disable feature.

I'll post back when I have time to check.

Gotcha. Grab and adult beverage and get some clarity! I'm already there... 😉

Now I'll have to get out my OBD2 adapter and fire up Forscan and see what I can find. The amount of changes I've done to my past Super Duty trucks really made a big difference in the ownership experience.

Hi system. Since I opened my big mouth in the first place, I figured let me go out and check now.

Yes, my MKZ has no normal system setting to disable Auto Lock. Only Auto Unlock. It may be possible to do with FORScan software, but I can not confirm or deny that.

Sorry about the error and good luck.

Hi System. Our last posts crossed in the mail. Yes, my system settings are similar to yours. No ability to disable Auto Lock. Only Auto Unlock.

And I mentioned FORScan, so I am happy to hear you are familiar with its use.

Good luck. 🍻

On a GT, I would say the charge speed, they just flat out went cheap in that regard, no adjustability. I have a 26 Amp 240 system in garage and my Jeep charges at 25.5 max, perfectly acceptable. Lincoln max is 14.4 and takes 1.5 hours longer than the Jeep with a larger battery. Its not been a issue though, until past weekend traveling, a 450 mile 24 timespan deal.

Not expecting anyone to have 240 set up's in their garage, which they did not, but anyway, grabbing a charge from 120 is horrendous. Plugged in for 8 hours before return trip got it 18 miles of range. That assisting ICE on highway in efficient mode got us about 30 minutes down road before depleted.

I get that their direction is full on BEV now and development needs to go that way, but would of been nice to step up a touch with onboard charger.

I already went down this rabbit hole in another thread. This is a huge disappointment to me. Toyota defaults to the 3.3kW charger but offers an upgrade to 6.6kW charger. As you mention, Chrysler uses the 6.6kW by default. I can't believe that Lincoln went cheap on that function.

I do recall this convo about a month ago, just thought I would actually say something inside this thread after the 450 mile RT and how much of a pain it was to attempt charging.
