I am 99% sure that is accurate. Thanks raider. If I understand the Forscan site correctly, I have to have the Forscan Extended License to program the DDM. Is that accurate?

OK, Got the as-built file downloaded and the ELM adapter is ordered. I'll download and install Forscan when I get the adapter on Thursday.I am 99% sure that is accurate.
I have an 05'. I'll connect my laptop to my car in a bit and see if the modules are present.OK, Got the as-built file downloaded and the ELM adapter is ordered. I'll download and install Forscan when I get the adapter on Thursday.
Below is the screen from the as-built download on the Motorcraftservice.com website. My concern is that they do not list the DDM in the BCE modules. I'm worried that indicates that the '03-'05 DDM can't be programmed. If that's the case, maybe Forscan can at least help me do diagnostics on the system to confirm its the DDM.

I don't know if I need them or not, but more data always finds a use for someone! So post away! The screenshot is from my 03 Cartier, so for my 03 its listed.
If you need my hex values I can post them for the ddm.
Hey I like where your head is at. To do this, we would need "as built" data for every possible combination of DDM features (shouldn't be that many) and compatible years. Someone would then need to create a spreadsheet of all the hex values for each feature set. It could be done but would take a bit of time to compile. If I get bored one day maybe I'll startAs relatively few options/combos as these cars have it seems like we ought to be able to put together a collection of DDM software settings.
Maybe on February 29, 2024? You won't be busy cheering the Raiders on that day.... If I get bored one day maybe I'll start![]()
Or we could create a Google Doc and let people fill it in, like other boards have done for their cars.....but yeah, I hear you on getting motivated to start raider!Hey I like where your head is at. Fantastic idea, would make a great sticky !Or we could create a Google Doc and let people fill it in, like other boards have done for their cars.....but yeah, I hear you on getting motivated to start raider!
The file link you posted is a nice but it is missing some details to be really useful in understanding the different settings for DDMs. For instance, VIN supplied don't list what DDM features the car has, it just lists the values, we would need to know which features are connected with each vin, then we are cooking with gas.Well, thanks to some guy going by "raiderfan" (hmmmmm, wonder who that could be....) on the FORscan forums, I found the spreadsheet for Panther configurations at this link. That should take care of our need for a Google Doc.
I'm still trying to figure out how to load the "as built" file. I'm starting to wonder now if some hack mechanic just edited out my DDM completely as it was failing to eliminate false alarms, etc for the previous owner. (PO passed away, so I have no one to ask.)
Thanks raider fan, that video solved one problem - I have no internet connection in my shop, so some of those buttons are simply not there on FORscan. I'm going to put the car back together enough that I can move it this weekend and I will try reloading the As Built file. The file link you posted is a nice but it is missing some details to be really useful in understanding the different settings for DDMs. For instance, VIN supplied don't list what DDM features the car has, it just lists the values, we would need to know which features are connected with each vin, then we are cooking with gas.
To your issue of loading as built data, watch this video but instead of choosing PDM (as built) choose DDM (as built), from there you can load your AB (as built file) and overwrite the old settings.
When you connect to Forscan you should see your DDM in the list of modules (ignore all my DTCs lol, I am working through them)

I'm using an OBDLink EX USB cable with the latest paid version of FORScan. It is the Ultimate, with heated memory seats, power trunk, everything but the sunroof. Are you using a good usb obd2 adaptor? There's usually a couple on amazon that people have recommended for forscan.
Also, what options does your car have? I assume this is the 04 Ultimate in your signature. I have the same model, heated memory seats, sunroof, HID lights, power trunk, auto dimming mirrors, pretty much everything but fog lights as far as I know.
Screen shots might help?I'm using an OBDLink EX USB cable with the latest paid version of FORScan. It is the Ultimate, with heated memory seats, power trunk, everything but the sunroof.
I'll post some tonight, but as you'll see, it looks just like it should except that there is no DDM at all.Screen shots might help?
