The 2023 Aviator New Colors

Thanks! It did work on the visualizer. WOW...the Diamond Red is indeed dark...I don't like the Jewel Sandstone....it looks silver to me. The ceramic pearl looks much warmer than it. Frankly...I expected the opposite to be true. I'm back to square one as to color!
If you click on Silver Radiance and then click on Jewel Sandstone they appear to be the same. At least on my screen. The Diamond Red Tri-Coat is Burgundy. I still don't believe that the colours displayed are correct.

You're right. However that circle we click is a different color than the Silver Radiance...go figure! And the diamond Red is the same as the Burgundy Velvet. Are they giving us the wrong colors?!

Thank you max. The 2023 just looks like a deeper/darker Burgundy as opposed to a real red. I don't believe I've encountered so much discussion about 2 new colours ever before.:unsure:

LOL...so the Diamond Red is darker than the Burgundy! They should have called it Diamond Burgundy. The name is deceiving...

Soooo disappointed in this!! 😩
If you don't like it..I would think you still have the chance to change the color in your order...they didn't even start production for the 2023 yet. It is still a nice color but much darker than we expected!

Since I have production date, dealer said no changes. In fact, just got email and production date has been moved up a month. I'll wait and see in person if I like it or not.

Oh! So you should be receiving it by August or September... 🤞
I thought the 2023 production starts in August but they gave you a July production date!!

I haven't seen any change to the June 27th production date other than what some Lincoln concierges have said and they seem to be all over the place.

Peter.

The concierges are indeed all over the place. I was given August as the start of production...I was told that accepting orders for 2023 would not start until June and that the March date has been revised...etc..etc. So the info we read online is most likely the correct one..

I still have plenty of time to decide as year 3 of my 4-year lease is up on October 31st. Hopefully things will have settled down a bit by then because I know my dealership will be looking to get the Aviator back by then and get me into a new vehicle.

By then dealers would most likely have the 2023 Aviators. You might be able to see the new colors in person. I'm taking my time as well...

The Build & Price tool is now working and it looks like the Diamond Red is the colour shown in the picture above. Still looks like a dark Burgundy to me. The Jewel Sandstone is a little disappointing IMO. I think I'd rather go with Silver Radiance in that case.

I agree...the Silver Radiance looks really nice. However, in the last 20 years I have owned gray and silver cars. So...this time I want something completely different! What? TBD!

Me too! I have had a white expedition for 12 years. Before that 2 bright red ones. I'm taking myself into the diamond I want some color. 😝

I've had Silver on my 2002 Highlander and a host of other white/beige variant colours. I like the lighter colours since they stay clean looking much longer than darker ones. Scratches also aren't that evident on lighter ones. My driveway faces south so it is hard to get a chance to wash it when it isn't in the full sun. When it isn't sunny it usually doesn't need washing or it's raining. My backyard neighbour has a black Escape and he is out washing it at least once a week. I have to admit that I was tempted by the 2022 Burgundy Velvet.

I agree...I'm planning to stay with a lighter color. I'm one of those who don't wash their car once a week. So it's important for me to get a color that hides dirt ;)

I’ve just joined the forum and haven’t caught up yet reading all the posts about the 23 aviator colors so if I’m repeating what someone else said already I apologize. But wanted to respond to couple I saw saying the Red Diamond was poorly named. I thought that too initially until I my partner pointed out that although they are the very rarest color red diamonds do exist. Only 20-30 stones exist worldwide and sell for upwards of $1M a carat. And when you look at images of one you realize the name of the new Lincoln color is both literal and accurate. Ordered our GT in this color yesterday.

It's not called "Red Diamond" it's called "Diamond Red". If the color on the configurator is correct...then it is not red...it is dark burgundy. So it should have been called Diamond Burgundy... ;)
