SSM 53329 2024-2025 Nautilus - Front Brake Noise (new)

There's another notice out, SSM 54264, stating the front brake noise fix is now targeted for late 4Q2025.
If they are the SW developers I use to work with, it will be January

Sounds like the 2026 production has the new rotors and whatever else may be required. It will take a few months to build up OEM stock for proper repairs of prior MY vehicles.

Thanks for the heads-up - I added it to the "Recalls, TSB & Warranty" section of the other site.

(Adding Nautilus items there, since it was the original source for a lot of good service-related information)

Here: Recalls, TSBs & Warranty

It's the only area of that forum I use - it brought me up to speed on a lot of TSBs/SSMs/CSPs. Haz has been busy with other things recently, so I try to add new items that I stumble across.

Haz has not been active as of late on his site.

Here is the updated ssm. They probably knew a long time ago it would be delayed. But then when I was working at R&D we would get progress reports of Green (on schedule)and then all of sudden it slipped months at a major checkpoint.

At 12K, I have never heard a "grunt" sound but have made a "scraping" sound. It sounded like corrosion on rotors and once it occurs it goes away for a while.

Did they reproduce noise or rake your word on it?

Yes, not sure if you can see the photo but first sentence says they verified it.
If they denied it or said they couldn’t hear it I would have then recorded a video.

Took our 2025 Nautilis into our dealership in Naperville Illinois twice for the same issue with the grinding front brake noise. The time was fall of 2024. Last advice he said was that Lincoln had to figure out a fix for it. Now I see that bulletin (posted in an earlier post) advise that everyone is waiting for third quarter of this year for them to come up with a solution. We’ll wait and see. Till then wife is not a happy Lincoln owner.
I'm having same brake noise on my brand new 2025 Nautilus and I'm extremely frustrated the dealership won't just simply replace the brakes. It has been in twice for service in the 3 months I've had the car.
My concierge informed me that I'm not the only one with the brake noise issues and that Lincoln says a fix is coming sometime in late 2025.
Unacceptable in my opinion. Just replace the damn brakes!!! I spent 80 grand on this car and it sounds like it's going to fly apart when you brake even just slightly hard.

Replacing brakes/rotors hasn't worked in the strong majority of cases. You've been waiting 3 months. Some of us have been waiting over a year and a half.

Over a year??? Wtf??

Yep. I've had the noise since March 2024. My brakes were replaced once and it didn't solve the issue. It's frustrating and I'm not confident that Lincoln will ever fix the issue for those of us who already purchased.

I've had the noise since I bought mine earlier this year. I didn't even bother taking it in as the brakes otherwise work just fine and the posts here indicate that even if they change them, it doesn't stop the noise. Just waiting for Lincoln to figure it out and get a fix out before I head in.

This is massively disappointing to hear. Class action lawsuit?

Yep, ditto! Somehow, disc brakes are a brand new technology that is still working out the kinks in materials and specification?! WTH.....

Ford has so many quality problems this year it's unbelievable. Something like 100 recalls and 1.5 million vehicles. They can't seems to get out of their own way. This does t count the non recall issues. I bet this rotor problem is at the bottom of their list.

I will think long and hard before I buy another Ford product. Not because of the issues but rather their inability to deal with them.
