I like how you describe the various noises. Mine makes both noises similar to how you describe them. And they both come and go. Unlike the description in the SSM, I've never really noticed the sound goes away after the brakes warm up. The noises come and go over time. But they stick for a while (like days or a week or more) and sounds during entire drives. Then after a while (days or a week) the sound might go away for a week or two. But then one of the sounds eventually comes back. I've had this since I bought the car in March 2024. But I assume what I am hearing is the same issue as described in the SSM. My dealer told me earlier this month that I should see my replacement parts "soon". I guess we will see if that provides any changes or not or if it does, how long it will last. Annoying.Since we can't see the video available to the service techs to hear the sound, I'd like to determine if everyone affected has the same sound, or if there are different sounds. If you have this issue, is it a fraction of a second like a quick burp (like on the loaner nautilus hybrid I have), or a 1 second trombone-ish sounding blat which is what my vehicle sounds like before and after the rotor replacement(s)?
Thanks for the reply. I too have also noticed it is not related to brake temperature, though my vehicle is the long blaaattt trombone sound and hasn't gone away except for one day after they replaced the rotors the first time. If anything, it is happening through more of the braking cycle now. I thought it was interesting that the loaner nautilus has the burp sound instead and it started right at the 300 mile odometer mark like mine did. Their build dates are two months apart, right in the date range mentioned in the bulletin.I like how you describe the various noises. Mine makes both noises similar to how you describe them. Yes! That is the sound I have. It doesn’t sound like a grunt, but perhaps a brass musical instrument! My loaner hybrid nautilus has more of a burp sound that I would characterize as a grunt right at the moment the wheels stop.Haz actually posted the video mentioned. My noise is not like this. I would not call it a grunt.

That's similar to the noise I get. Fortunately it's a once in every 3 to 4 weeks thing for me.Haz actually posted the video mentioned. My noise is not like this. I would not call it a grunt.

Not sure - they don't sound anywhere near the same to my earI wonder how many people confuse this with the sound the parking brake makes when applied or released.
We're starting on a long trip starting tomorrow and I'll definitely be listening for it. We have a service visit scheduled in February and I'd like to get as much addressed as possible.Haz actually posted the video mentioned. My noise is not like this. I would not call it a grunt.

Any vehicle can present this issue, but it does seem to vary. Some describe much worse noises than we've heard. Supposedly it was addressed in production on 6/14/24, as the SSM says. While it was better, some still have issues. We have the 1st remedy rotors for early buyers and we're okay with it (for now).Is this problem on both hybrids and non-hybrids? If not, which one has the problem?
