Software Updates

Completely shocked to hear as I drove 11 hours to Florida using Blue Cruise for 90% of the drive. The trip was split over two days driving through various weather conditions. The technology worked flawlessly for me!

Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed!
I drove from southeast Michigan to the U.P. on a cloudy day with the sun behind me and the visor down where I could just see the road. It worked OK.
But if the sun came out and I was in a position for the sun to come in the side window or even reflect of a vehicle in front of me it would start telling me to "Watch the Road".
And the only way to clear it is to divert my eyes to the dash board, which of course it "Off the Road".:ROFLMAO:
Looking at the new Blue Cruise post it looks like there is a 1.3 update.
Whether it will be "Over the Air" or dealer only installation is still in question.

Question, are your front side windows tinted by chance.
I find as soon as the sun comes out Blue Cruise is completely unusable.
I just did 250 miles on a cloudy day and it worked great, after the sun started poking out it was all done.

I got that one, too. Still no Blue Cruise update.

I have found that once BlueCruise loses track of my eyes on a sunny day.
The only way to fix it is to turn it off and turn it back on by deactivating lane keeping and turning it back on and it immediately picks up the eyes again.

Got my BlueCruise to work pretty good by getting my front windows tinted 20% like the rear windows.
I also have to flip my visor to the windshield and cover the wiper sensitivity adjustment to keep the adjustment knob from reflecting sunlight in my face.
Drove from Michigan to Texas with BlueCruise doing 95% plus only took over to change lanes and during construction areas.
I still want the update Lincoln.

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but I don't think there's not the rarest of chance that our BlueCruise will be updated to the latest. I hope it happens, but chances are, it will not.

Beginning to think you are correct and that I was lied to.

I just got an update last night that says my “driver monitoring system has been upgraded to be more reliable when using the hands-free feature to provide a more enjoyable drive” anyone else get this and know what changed?

Well, that certainly sounds like BC. Were you able to verify? Still nothing for my 22 Navigator.

Me neither and in fact my service manager tells me they think one of my modules is blown when they attempted the update. Engineering is getting involved.

Morons. Lincoln simply cannot do tech correctly.

At least your service manager attempted the update.

My service manager said my BlueCruise was 'up to date' and no updates were available.

That is frustrating. But, now my BC is totally inoperable.

I did get this update to my vehicle, but it will complete the install over wifi I am guessing due to the module issue. On hold right now trying to get to the OTA folks to discuss.

I got this update last night as well and got pretty excited until I looked up DSMC-24.5.6

Quality improvements include: -Fixes the Diagnostic Trouble Code that made Bluecruise unavailable for some customers.

The TSB is for an Expedition, so I'm assuming the same applies to the Navigator.

I was on the phone forever and no one was able to tell me what you just did. My BC became unavailable when the dealer failed to update it correctly sue to a server failure, supposedly, at the time. So, this update will not seem to complete on my vehicle to correct this.

And, I guess the short version is that it does not actually the version of BC.

I just got this update today. Pretty stupid that I'm just now getting an update that has been available on other vehicles for over 2 years.

Well, I finally got BlueCruise 1.4 on my Navigator. The problem is that I had to spend another six figures on a 2025 to get it.

Lincoln is absolutely horrible at software updates.

Good luck, everybody. We'll see if the 2025 Navigator has a better track record.
