Up north we use a local "Tommy Wash". They have a month to month membership that allows unlimited washers anywhere they have a "Tommy Wash". There are 4 levels that one can subscribe to. We chose the second best, and it cost $37. a month. It does the best job washing I have ever gotten from an automatic system, though it is not touchless. I imagine I used it 40-50 times this summer and have no scratches etc. One drives onto a moving belt, and once on, you put the car in park, and it pulls you all the way through, where after the very effective blowers get one's vehicle almost completely dry. They also have free do it yourself vacuums. Unfortunately, there aren't any in Naples, but several about 30 minutes north.
Interestingly, I haven't needed to turn off my automatic rain sensing wipers as they don't go on. Don't ask me why, they just don't. AI lives in my Aviator! Probably by now is smarter than I am!!! ( at least according to my wife......)
Hi EcoBrick Bob. Concerning the Rain Sensing Wipers. Two points: First...You have to enable them in the Driver Information Center/programmable settings.
Second...Then, to have them on, you need to flip the wiper stalk up one position, to the "Interval wiper" position.
Otherwise they are off.
If you have done both of those things and they still do not work when it rains, there is a problem.
Let us know how you make out and good luck.
