Update...Got the money from my ins co, and the police report showing the "at fault driver" and his ins co, who my ins. co. is now working with. This other co. has accepted the fault. so we now wait to see what happens.
Wife and I are making good physical progress. I even drove yesterday and today for the first time since the accident on 11/26. I had my wife, and our adult daughter drive me to an empty church parking lot, and I drove around for about 10 to 15 minutes to judge my ability to drive safely. Last thing I want is to put anyone in my car or on the road in any undue risk due to my driving ability. My plan was that they each had one vote, and I had...yes, one vote...so they could out vote me. They decided I did OK, and was "allowed " to drive home from there, about 10 minutes. After that, I got a "take it slow, don't over-do, but yes, you seem fine to drive". I drove several places today, and did fine.
More info....after one of my wife's doc appointments this week, our friend who drove us said he had some extra time if we wanted to stop by the Ford/Lincoln dealer...so we did. My wife sat in the Corsair, and had a very unsettling look on her face. She sad it brings back too many memories, so we will not be getting another Corsair any time soon.
It is a little bit weird, considering the current state of the auto business, that my dealer has had these 4 or 5 Corsairs for about 4 weeks...(Not GTs), but Reserves. ??? We went for a ride in a '21 Edge Titanium, it was nice, quiet, and has Sync 4A, BIG vertical screen like Mach-e... with
wireless AA and
Carplay. THAT should have been in the Corsair. I am
considering an Edge. Rumors seem to indicate 22 will be last year for Edge and Nautilus, as the Canadian plant where they are made will likely be turned into an EV plant. Rumors....
That's it for now.
