Rear middle console

The reserve comes standard with the Panoramic Vista Roof. I have ordered to equipment group 201A; which includes the Elements package plus, the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.5 Plus, Heads up Display and Phone as key.

Hi Wild. The full rear console comes as a choice contained in the Reserve 1 option ($7,380 MSRP). So you paid for the full rear console as part of the ~$7,380 Reserve 1 option choice.

See the edit to my previous post for a fuller explanation. I was editing that post as you we're typing yours, and they crossed in the mail. :)

Good luck.

Hi Wild. Are you getting the Panoramic Vista Roof and/or Option Package 67D?

EDIT- LOL...Mystery solved. Essentially, you paid ~$7,380 for the Full Rear Console (and the other features of the Reserve 1 package).
Explanation- I just went to the Lincoln website and built a Reserve. Your upgrade to the Reserve 1 is a ~$7,380 MSRP option. And the Full Rear Console is contained in that option package as a "free" choice. You can have the mini console or the full size one.
So the reason there seemed to be "no additional cost" when you chose the full rear console is because it is already part of the Reserve 1 Package you previously chose. The choice of either the mini console or the full rear console is already contained in that $7,380.

Hope this is not too confusing.

Good luck.
You are correct about getting the Reserve 1 package but the cost I was quoted here in North Carolina was $6,380. Still expensive but the options I wanted. As we all know, nothing is free. Not confusing at all; I think all companies do not want these options to be too clear.

Hi Wild. Yes, that is why I stated "MSRP", because everyone will pay a different price according to how good a negotiator they are and how good a deal they can work out. Also, Incentives are sometimes offered on select option packages, and they can be regional, calendar based, etc. etc.
Therefore, the only way to quote an unknown price is to go by MSRP and hope a buyer (like you) can do better.

And I don't feel the packages are confusing at all.

I am only pointing out the true cost of the "Full Rear Console", as part of the Reserve 1 package price, so others do not see your post or others, get confused and think it is a "free" option.

Good luck.

Thank you Matthew. I don't know why so many here seem to be reluctant to specify what they are driving in a Signature. Coming from the Ford Explorer forum I find it very frustrating. I'm so used to checking the margin profile before replying. So do you know if you ordered the console? It is part of an option package.

Peter
it’s not part of an option package. It’s a stand alone no cost option you have to specify if you want it. Same as the bench.

Hi harley. Please read the quote from the Dealer Order Guide included in this thread. It is not a "stand alone no cost option". And it is part of an option package/trim level.
A standalone option is an option which can be ordered all by itself, with no limitations or requirements to order/have other trim levels/options/option packages.

You have to order particular options/option packages/trim levels to be eligible for the full rear console. Only then can you order it. So it is not free, it is simply a choice to either have it or not have it when you order that trim level/option package/other options.

For example: The full rear console can not be ordered in the Reserve trim model. The buyer must upgrade to the Reserve 1 trim, which is a ~$7,380 (MSRP) option. Then they can choose to have or not have the full rear console. So that full rear console cost is wrapped into the $7,380 option, whether the buyer orders it or not.
Nothing is "free".

In other words, it can not simply be ordered all by itself, for no cost, on any/all trim levels. The cost is already included in those trim levels/option packages, whether a buyer "orders" it or not.

Hope this makes it clearer. Good luck.

Similar situation with the Grand Touring. Order defaults to the small cup holder console but the full console can be added for no additional charge. I am getting the full console since I don't expect to use the third row seats. I have never used them in my Mercedes so feel comfortable with that decision for the Aviator.

Just this past weekend I realized I was supposed to have the full rear console in my 2022 GT. Realized this when watching a review on you tube and the rear console was mentioned. So I checked my build out from November, 2021 and I definitely selected the full rear console. What happened from there I can't remember. It's not on the summary the dealer printed out and I never noticed, so the car came in with the mini console. Either I forgot to tell the salesman I wanted it or he forgot to add it in, but I'm thinking it was the former. Looking at my build out, the cost of this option was $0. Maybe when I told the salesman what options wanted I naturally looked at all the ones I had to pay money for, ignoring the items costing $0 thinking they were all included. Anyway, disappointed the error was made since I really don't use the third row and don't need to pass over the console area. The full rear console just goes so much better with the Aviator's great interior while the mini adds nothing to the interior's appeal. Too bad the mini wasn't optional and the full one standard.
Any experts out there who may know if the mini can be removed easily and if a full rear console can be ordered and installed easily also?

When i first ordered my 22 GT, i meant to get the full console as the wife didnt like the small cup holder option on the floor, and it was caught too late. so thats when we placed a new order and it ended up being a 23. so guess thats a good trade off for the delay.

with the GT it was a no cost option, and really enjoy it. no kids here and very little chance we will ever have any use for the third row. i personally prefer the full console.

i was told no. there are some electrical components to it for the sunroof control. doesnt make much sense why the rear passengers would have control over that. i agree with your statement on the looks of the full vs mini

Has anyone got there 22 aviator with the big 2nd row middle console? We picked up my wife’s yesterday and it just has some cup holders and a little tray. I was under the impression that it was going to be the full size console.
Sorry, but the box to check for the full console was located further along the ordering process under Accessories or something. Ordered mine in Dec 2021 but recall I had to drill down a little further. I would order one and sell the other online if possible. Best of luck ...

Welcome to the Forum. 👋
I can see why the full 2nd-row console isn't standard. I believe it is an option costing around $6000 on some trims from other posts I have read. So it makes perfect sense to me that it should be a standalone option, if not part of higher priced package. The summary the dealer showed you was probably the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement). That is a confirmation from Ford/Lincoln of the cost and options. Any errors should be pointed out at that time. FYI, I did a Build & Price on a 2023 GT and selected the full console and it showed up in the summary as $0 along with the mini console.

The control is only for the shade. Not for the sun/moonroof itself. That would make sense.

Related but a little off topic. It seems like most prefer a console with captains chairs. While this looks great and is really comfortable, I chose the bench seat for the extra passenger (5 vs 4, excluding the third row). Seems like a big car to only seat 4 comfortably, again excluding the 3rd row. Why is the bench seating less desired? Thanks.

Hi Abe. My thoughts: Most owners consider the bench seat to look far less luxury oriented.
Also, in my opinion, those owners who prefer the captains chairs feel they look nicer, and in their estimation, the looks outweigh the number of times they may ever need to carry 7-8 people.

Good luck.

Thanks, makes sense.

The full rear is really nice. However, it limits the ability to get into the third row. That is a personal decision. If you do not have any use or little use for the third row, I would def go full rear console. As I found it adds luxury to the car.

Any clean pics of this full console in a vehicle anywhere?

Hi moose. Here is one:

You can find more here (will need to sift a little): 2022 Lincoln Aviator rear center console - Google Search

Good luck.
Keep in mind, this is the black label version. So the trim is more refined. The other full console is not as elegant. But this gives you an idea of what it looks like. Def makes it very hard to get into the third row, but is great if you don't have plans on using the row often. As other have said, there are controls for the sunroof shade and additional charging/USB ports inside the compartment.
