MY2023 Aviator Order Timeline Tracking thread

My GT was scheduled to be built last week. I received an email from Lincoln this morning which initially excited me until I read it: “While production of your vehicle was projected to begin the week of February 20, 2023, supply chain challenges continue to cause delays and uncertainty.”

Oh well.
Update: I called my dealer for an update; they do see much more detail. Although "Track My Vehicle" still indicates "In Production" and my last communication referenced supply chain delays, my dealer informed me that the status was "Sent to Body Shop." I was told the plug in hybrids get sent to a body shop after production to have same color molding installed, after which it is sent back to the factory and delivered to the dealer. So technically still "In Production" but getting close. I wouldn't think this would take too long. Flingers crossed.

For reference:

It’s a race to see who gets their car first. I am hoping by April 1st I’ll have it if goes past that I won’t be a happy camper. All in all this has been an awful experience.

I can’t suggest my experience has been awful. I was told 6 to 10 months and it’s been about 6 1/2 months so far. All about setting expectation. Good luck.

Wouldn’t hold your breath. We ordered in 7/22 almost same exact model and accessories white being the only difference. Been in production forever. Still waiting, was supposed to be delivered by now. I’m about a month away from an xc90 hybrid. Smh

I love how after speaking with the concierge they were able to speak to my dealer saying the car is built and shipped yet the tracker still says in production? Why doesn’t the tracker update?

The whole thing is an essay on poor customer service. Probably have a custom Ferrari built quicker. Lol

My GT's order status updated today to "Built", so appears the info I was getting from the dealership last week was correct. According to them, they plan for it to arrive this Friday, then having them get windows tinted so should pick it up the first week of April.

Just received an email stating our Aviator is BUILT and should arrive to the dealership between March 26 - April 1.

09-04-2022 Order Confirmed
02-04-2023 Delayed
02-24-2023 In Production
03-12-2023 Built
03-20-2023 Received email status update to SHIPPED.... but it's stating transit times vary from 12 - 28 days! I hope it's not that long. In Charlotte NC, hopefully we'll get this before our long trip in early April.

Good luck! Ours was ordered two days before yours and has been “built” since February 20th but we have no idea when they will ship it. We’d received an e-mail it would arrive at the dealer between March 11 through the 17th but I brought home my Guinness in my old car!

I believe once the vehicle is built and ready for shipping, the manufacturer has little to no control over the shipping of it. That now falls within the realm of the shipping/transportation companies.

Is it common for vehicle to enter production before the window sticker becomes available? Randomly checked status today and saw it moved to “In Production” but no window sticker yet. (Production scheduled for week of 3/27, haven’t received an updated email yet with “In Production” status).

Hi Wilknic. Although things are still in flux due to pandemic induced parts shortages and delays, the window sticker *usually* becomes available a few days to a week or so before the actual Build Date (which is different than the "In Production" date).

You are still at least a week away from production beginning on you vehicle (assuming no more delays). If your 3/27 Production week estimate remains unchanged/accurate, you should be able to access your Window Sticker soon.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

bbf22530...you beat me to it, this time. :D I was actually typing up a reply.

You guys freak me out with these shifts in production weeks as well as overall stagnation at the beginning of the process. Mine still states 4/6 and only being two weeks out gives me hope it won't move much. I ordered 2/6 so it has always seemed unlikely that I will have the car in April (I am only about 3 hours from the plant).

You ordered it 2/6/23?

After several phone calls requesting updates, I received my 1st email from Lincoln today.(y)
Ordered an Aviator Reserve on Oct. 31 and the email says it's still in "Order Processing".(n)
It's a good thing my current lease still has 6.5 months remaining on it.:)
