MY2023 Aviator Order Timeline Tracking thread

Hi. New guy here with a question. 3 different dealers say they have an Aviator "at the rail yard" ready for shipping. They say the cars are 100% built, not awaiting any parts. Do you folks think that's reliable? Or is it code for 'of course they are awaiting parts could be months'?
Thanks

Yes, your post worked.:D

If they're waiting for shipment, they're complete, which means they have been released by ford and are waiting to be loaded onto a rail car.

Thx Pete. Someone online said 2nd row console or other part is delayed and would be installed at the railyard. Which makes me wonder how to interpret the dealer assertions.

Hello,

I am new to the forum, but have been keeping up ever since I ordered my Aviator Reserve with Jet Package (Pristine White/Roast). I figured it would be helpful to see another timeline, so here is mine.

Ordered at dealership (Central Valley CA)- 9/14/22
Confirmation Email- 9/17/22
Scheduled for Production (11/14/22)- 9/29/22
Production Schedule moved up (10/17/22)- 10/4/22
Checked with Dealer the day after the blend date (10/19/22) and he confirmed it was built-10/20/22
Built confirmation email-10/23/22
Checked the tracker and was notified that it was shipped as of this morning- 10/25/22

Hoping that we see it at the dealership within two weeks.

Hi,
Relatively new to the forum, I posted earlier of our '23 Aviator GT order. So far I am rather perplexed.
We wrote the deposit check for $750 and left it with the dealership on April 16th.
The check has never cleared, and we have received absolutely NO emails from Lincoln.

A couple months ago, we stopped by the dealership to inquire. The sales manager looked into their system and said our
order was "Scheduled" but no date was associated or stated. Seems like an oxymoron to be Scheduled/No Date.

Any thoughts?

I'd say that was a pretty good turn-around from ordered to shipped.

Did the salesperson give you a copy of the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement)? That is what Ford/Lincoln sends to the dealer and it contains all the info of the order such as options and vehicle price. If not, you should ask for it to make sure it has what you want on it the Aviator.
I believe "Scheduled" means that it is in line to be scheduled for a build but not assigned a specific build date/week. Given it is a GT, it will likely take a little longer to complete as has been posted here many times. Also, make sure that your email info was passed along to Lincoln. Good luck.

I just ordered a 2023 Lincoln Aviator
Lincoln Black Label Grand Touring. Is 3-4 months still the average time for delivery?

I ordered a BLGT in July…scheduled to be built last week of November. Who knows if that’s still the expected build week.

So, maybe 5-6 months lead time?

you're not gonna believe it, but our Aviator took 3 weeks to end up in my garage after being dropped at the dealer. 2 weeks for the plastic airdam part being replaced that was damaged from loading/unloading on the convoy truck, plus 1 week at Ziebart to have the PPF installed. (3 guys off sick and material shortage), which i'm not happy with and will go back to be done right.

2023 Aviator Reserve 201A, which includes the Luxury Package, consisting of, 30 Way seats/Rear window shades, 28 speakers)

Illumination
Ordered July 4/2022
VIN generated July 13 (rather quick)
Scheduled to day (Aug-16-2022)
ETA Sep 11 to Sep 17
Arrived Oct. 6
Took home Oct 27

Was that a regular build or expedited?

Was your build expedited?
Just a regular build. I think everybody would pick expedited if possible. The GT production are possibly grouped together…a few of us here have that same week in November.

Not for 'Expedited' orders as you mentioned yours is in another thread you started to ask the same question. Usually 'Expedited' orders are given a very low priority number because of the nature of the order. One member who was getting a replacement vehicle was given a priority code of 1.

Thanks, the dealership isn't answering my questions. This forum has been way more helpful.

That's not unusual, Ron. BTW, as another member mentioned a low priority number actually means the order has a high priority. Sounds somewhat backwards.😁

Placed my order on Sept 12th 2022, for Aviator Grand touring it still shows "Order Confirmed". Any magic you guys recommend to have this move forward? My dealer says it takes time(6-8 months) but am noticing here few folks are luck to get it sooner. Is there a followup we can do with production support?

My Car configuration:

2023 Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring All-Wheel Drive:
  • 3.0L V6 Grand Touring Twin Turbocharged Hybrid Engine
  • Modular Hybrid Transmission with 10 Speed SelectShift Capability

Same for me, dealer is not providing any useful information.

Its a $80k+ car, such orders should have a better way to know more details about pre orders.
