MY2023 Aviator Order Timeline Tracking thread

Are all of the orders now having the hands free lift gate deleted automatically?
Yes. Ford will let you know when parts are available and will install them at no cost to you/us. Your sales man should have told you that.

Ok - I will check with my local dealer. I heard from one dealership that they would not be retrofitting so I was unsure about that.

I’m assuming the 12 to 10 way seats downgrade drivers and 12 way downgrade to 8 way passenger on the 2023 models is not something they would retrofit?

Hi icemantx. Latest information provided by Lincoln is the Hands-free liftgate will be retrofitted when the parts become available. The seats will not be retrofitted.

Good luck.

I hope so, but I kind of doubt it. I picked mine up on Thursday and it had the hands free tailgate delete and they credited my $ 55.00 for it on my window sticker. So I doubt they will give it to me for free later, but it would be nice. Salesman said it was deleted and would not be available, but he may be wrong.

I love the vehicle, drives like a sports car, very quiet and rides like a limo. Very responsive. Every package except rear entertainment. Hard part is learning all the features.

Dealer told me, and is apparently right from Ford. I had also read it somewhere on a authentic Ford document, but never saved it to my PC. We all get credited for the delete, but they will install the missing module/part when available free of charge.

That's apparently the way it goes with most dealers, agreed. I pay Z-plan, as per factory invoice, minus fair tradein value, plus tax. Total, without any extra charges.
I forgot to mention earlier.....i always ask and get a paint touchup stick too, free of course. Anybody not happy with their dealer, pm me if you're in S.W.. ON. Canada and I'll tell you who my dealer of choice is.
I noticed a lot of articles are videos were from your there. Is this a popular car in that part of the country?

Didn't quite hook up with your first sentence, but yes, just as popular here as on your side of the border, assuming you're in the USA

That was supposed to says a lot of articles and videos were from there.

Mine changed from 11/7 to 10/10 as well
Just got email stating build date has moved from 10/10 to 10/17. So it went from 11/7 to 10/10 now to 10/17. Wonder what's going on. Thought things were picking as far as availability of components

Hi Aray. Also, check the email. Are you sure it does not say scheduled for the "Week of 10/17"?
Vehicles are first scheduled to a week. Then a day as that week approaches. With 10/17 being a Monday, that means that as of now, it is scheduled for some time that week, not that day.

Hope you get it as soon as possible and good luck.

We signed off on our order for a replacement Aviator yesterday (2020 being returned under the TX lemon law). How long after an order is placed will Lincoln begin sending you updates and how long does it typically take from ordering for a VIN to be generated?

We are ordering a 2023 Aviator Reserve AWD, Flight Blue/Ebony, 201A, Dynamic Handling & Illumination packages, full second row console.

There are many posts

There are many posts that show various timelines. It is too difficult to say with any certainty what kind of time periods you are looking at since the availability of parts is very fluid. Once the order is placed, the dealer should receive the VOC very quickly followed by the DORA which you should get a copy of from the dealer. I think Dynamic Handling would likely add more time to the production timetable. Check out some of the recent order posts to get some idea.

The eagle has landed, just on time for my wifes birth day today. Just got back from the dealer to inspect it. 2 surprises: 1) there IS a hard copy of the owners manual with it. 2) even though i ordered black interior, we got light Gray head liner and A-B-C posts. What part of black interior does ford not understand?
PDI needs doing before shipping to have the front end paint protection done. Monday is a national holiday up here, which means some time next week my wife will get it. Mud flaps on order, but am unclear what they'll come up with since i cant find any moulded ones online.

Perhaps with a black interior, there are some areas that are gray. Let's see what others with a similar interior have to say.

Picked up the aviator from the detail shop this afternoon. Had my graphene gloss coating (interior + exterior) installed. It's good for 1-2 years as per the detailer. Had it tinted as well last week. (30% driver/passenger, 15% back/hatch, 70% clear windshield). Looking good now.
I am going on a 4 hour trip next week. As per the user manual, there is a 300 miles break in period, I have put in 200 miles so far in the city/highway. So by the time I hit the highway for the long trip, it should be more than 300 miles.

Quick question? What kind of gas you guys put in? The manual states regular is ok, but premium is recommended.
Also how much gas mileage you guys get on regular/premium gas? So far I see 15.6mpg on city and 16.0 on highway which is poor. I really hope it improves moving forward. I am not sure what the dealer filled in. Hoping it's premium.

Hi nitynity. Congratulations on getting your new Aviator! The vehicle will get full advertised power using 93 octane premium. You can expect to lose approximately 25 horsepower using 87 octane regular, with corresponding power output somewhere in between for 89 and 91 octanes.

If you are not towing or stop light racing, 87 octane regular will perform just fine for the majority of owners. If you tow or need full power, use premium or somewhere in between. There are also several existing threads discussing what octanes to use when/why.

And as explained in the Owners Manual, it will take time for the vehicle to break-in as far as full mpg potential. That full break-in can take several thousand miles.

Hope you have many happy and safe driving miles and good luck! 🍻
