MY2023 Aviator Order Timeline Tracking thread

Yea I immediately identified the issue as a blend door actuator issue but obviously not doing anything about it myself, just frustrating to know a 78k vehicle that's only been assembled for 30 days already has to have the dash ripped apart, but meh, guess that's what warranties are for.
Oh man, that absolutely stinks!! With all the car issues I had before trading, I hate this for you.

To give you an idea of my Grand Touring order:
2022 GT 11-23-2021 ordered
6-10-2022 blend date
6-25-2022 invoiced
On-chip hold
8-12-2022 shipped
Due to arrive the week of 9-12-2022

Hopefully, the 2023 GT production times have improved!

Peter
Wow, a legit 10 months. I was hoping to do better than 6 months. You are very patient. God luck.

Thanks. Regarding confirmation, I assume you are speaking of the OEM, not the desire, correct? How did you do this?

Yes. The email confirmation from Lincoln directly that the order was confirmed.

My 2023 Aviator Reserver was blended 8/17 and ETA to dealer is 9/9 - 9/16 but I spoke with Dealer today and they have no updates from manufacturing, last update shows on the blend date for them. They think something may be holding up my aviator at the factory (chips). Lincolns order site still shows its in production but dealer says it shows its been built already.

Thanks so much for the prompt reply. How long after you placed the order with dealer did it take to receive the email from Lincoln. Since I was told 6 - 10 months (ouch!), I am expecting a long information black hole. Thanks again.

I had a 8/17 blend day as well, but mine shows "Produced" which means your should show the same, but not yet as "Released", so, mine is sitting around waiting on something as well. My ETA has changed 3 times already and presently shows 9/23 to 9/29 to Ontario Canada. ETA's are not edged in stone and vehicles often times arrive before the ETA. My dealer just had 2 Aviators delivered with a April build and hope mine wont be parked someplace for 4 month as well.

I know our vehicles were built about one hour apart but mine still shows in production and I’m not sure why at this point. Just in the waiting game.

Mine shows in production too in the primary column in Vehicle Visibility, and will stay that way till they're released, at which point it will show "Awaiting Shipment". It's the secondary column that shows Produced-Released and shipping info. If your dealer would take 2 minutes to print it off for you, you'd have a much better understanding on what they see. I can post what it looks like. This is from my F150 order. I do not believe they're on hold because of chip shortage or it would say so, which it does not. Shipping problems, mainly lack of truck drivers seems to be the issue from what i read and been told by my dealer.

The driver shortage is real. I work in the trucking industry and everyone is having issues finding drivers. Its been that way for awhile but gets worse every year.

My Reserve build was finished July 29th. I am going on almost 6 weeks waiting for delivery. The dealer and the concierge have no idea where my vehicle is.

Hi Everyone,

My Build
‘23 Aviator Grand Touring
301A Package
Dynamic Handling package
Illumination package
2nd Row Center console
Pristine White/ Ebony interior
Tow package

My timeline
4/23/22 dealer Order date
No confirmation ever received

After inquiring with dealer on 7/30…

7/28/22 production date
No Current update

Window sticker provided 8/11

And that’s where it’s stuck. It’s on a chip hold and the previous ETA was 9/11-9/17 but is now being pushed.

I got an update from Lincoln today which confirmed it’s on chip hold. The tentative release date is September 15 from the hold and then it’s supposed to get shipped after that. We’ll see if that day holds or not.

Welcome to the Forum AviTrooper. 👋
The dealer should have received 2 documents of which 1 is usually passed along to the customer. That one is the Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement (DORA) form. It shows/confirms exactly what was ordered. Perhaps Lincoln was never provided with your email address??

Peter

Our Aviator has been marked shipped! I was trying to see if there was anymore info available on the Lincoln site... Then it crashed... Keep getting "no site found".... Lincoln should have used Steve Tyler instead on Matthew McConaughey.... Living on the Edge!!! Haha

When was it ordered and build? Trying to figure out how long it's been waiting to be shipped..

I received an email from Lincoln today and the web site shows its now built.
Order date 7/1/22
Blend date was 8/17/22
Shows built as of 9/9/22
Expected delivery to dealer 9/27 to 10/3

9/9 It has been marked delivered to the dealership and in "final prep"!!! I wonder how long till the dealership calls me.

Ordered Apr 01
Email Confirmation Apr 14
Confirmed date within tracking app Apr 24
In Production Aug 15
Blend Aug 23
Built Sep 02
Final prep Sep 09

I sure hope they didn't build it as pictured in the app... Jet package was said to include "body colored lower front and rear fascia". Looks tacky with it being black...
