Hi MsDallas. If your vehicle order is being held up, it would be because there is some part or commodity constraint with your particular vehicle order. This can be due to pandemic induced shortages of a particular computer chip your vehicle needs, or any one of thousands of other parts.
As discussed in this and many other previous threads, the date a vehicle is ordered is only one of many factors affecting when it wil be scheduled for production. There is also Dealer allocation, the particular Priority Code a Dealer gives you order, parts/commodity constraints, etc. etc.
So the fact that others who ordered after you have received updates can be due to all of the above reasons and more.
I would recommend you keep politely inquiring at your Dealership for updates. They have access to the latest information, if they know how to do their job. If you get no help from your Salesperson, speak to the Sales Manager. And stopping by, if possible, is always better than a phone call. And a phone call is always better than a text or email.
I realize this probably does nothing to help relieve your frustration, but it is the current state of things throughout the entire auto industry, along with many/most other industries. So for those how absolutely need or must have a new vehicle right now, all we can do is wait and be patient.
Good luck.
