Love to see pics of your Nautilus (combinations) especially if you personalized it with some eye candy!

Buick used a location nearby to photograph the 2025 Enclave Avenir.
I tried to re-create the setup.
Which car looks best?

Easy answer!
Depends if you like more curves vs box shape. The new GX Lexus is extremely box shaped and people love it…I don’t. Give me curves all day long. Still think the Porsche’s are way sexy…so it’s Nautilus for sure.

I think the Nautilus is one of the best-looking SUVs on the market. That's one of the reasons I bought it. With that said, I think it's a total Range Rover rip-off, especially the side profile. Of course, if you're going to copy someone, Range Rover's a pretty good choice.

One of my neighbors just bought a RR Velar for his wife. He paid over-sticker for it, cuz apparently that's still happening in the RR world. He and his wife absolutely couldn't believe how good the Lincoln looked and what it cost compared to their car.

This is my 2024 Nautilus Hybrid. (6/28) is her first month anniversary. 30 days and 1082 miles with no more than a few small glitches that work the their way out. Love her so far.

Good post Hinckley! TY!
Had a mirror experience last December with a RR Owner.
My nephew has two 2023 Range Rover’s. His is a PE400 SE, or something like that. His wife has a 2023 RR, smaller model, not sure what it is. He left Audi many years back, now nothing but RR’s. He did say the Audi was not cutting it at the Country Club anymore, so he moved to RR. He is happy with RR, swears by the brand as the only vehicles he will drive for life. He did opine that a few members were acquiring Bentley Bentayga’s, exerting a bit of peer pressure on the others, but I digress.

So, this past Christmas they invited us for dinner at their estate. Had a popular Celebrity Gourmet Chef prepare the dinner, (a friend of his from the club I believe). Afterwards, as we were leaving, the valet brought our new Naut around from the carriage house to the front door. The couple saw us off and ventured on to the driveway to see our new ride. He loved it, was very impressed, and was surprised at the luxury Lincoln was offering. He commented on how nice the leather seats & NAV screen was, as well as the other interior appointments. His eyes lit up over the 2.7l twin turbo setup & its horsepower! As we were leaving, his departing words were “geez, after seeing your ride, I am embarrassed at what I have!”
Now, of course I realized immediately he was blowing smoke up my arse! I smiled and said I will trade any day when he is ready, as I pulled away.
After reading Hinckley’s thread, I must conclude those RR owners sure are complimentary folks to those of us driving Plebian vehicles such as a Lincoln! In my heart, I think the same would have went down if I had a Subaru Forrester.

I know my nephew, as well as Hinckley’s neighbor will never own a Lincoln product, but they sure make us feel good giving a nod of approval to our rides. Not even those owning vehicles from the former “Standard of the World” automaker would ever pay us such homage!

This fall my nephew is inviting me to lunch and a round of golf at his country club. I am going to insist we take my Nautilus to the event! My guess is he will not want to be seen pulling up in a Ford vehicle, and politely refuse. I am ok with that, I would never want to sour his reputation among his peers, especially after the accolades he endowed upon my Nautilus!

I will readily admit that there are two vehicles that I have always lusted after -- Range Rover and Aston Martin. Both are fantastically beautiful, unreliable and over-priced. I've worked way too hard to spend my money on cars whose cachet and "charm" includes regular road-side breakdowns and trips to the shop.

Yup, my wife had a Range Rover when we first started dating and it was a mess even though it was beautiful. I am thankful I have been able to drive an Aston a couple times, but I cannot imagine spending that much money on such an unreliable vehicle!

This is a great comparison review of the Range Rover, X7 and GLS. It's 32 minutes long, but just watch the last two minutes. It's absolutely hilarious what happens after they chose the Range Rover as the best of litter.

A close friend bought his wife a RR and had it for a year. She shared it literally equally with the service department and said I’m out. She loves her loaded GV80 😎

Vin,
I see you are an owner of the last year for the late, great Nautilus!
2 questions;
Do you have factory trailer tow pack?
Is your Naut equipped with Radiator Shutters?
Thanks!

Vin.
Funny you talk about your friends RR. As I was seriously considering getting a RR Velar instead of the Nautilus. The sales manager I deal with at Lincoln set me up with the sales manager at the RR dealer near me , as they are friends. The RR manager talked me out of it for the same reason. He said anyone else he would make the deal. As it was a friend being referred he said go back and deal with who I do.
I just wanted something completely different, that is why I was going to make the switch. I am waiting for my new Nautilus at the end of the month, and looking very forward to it.

Hey Steve:

I do not have a boat any longer but have done a lot of pulling my fishing boat all over the country and Canada, so no hitch. But I always had a class III factory hitch when I did.

You got me curious about the shutters so I went and checked and I do not have them.

But I splurged on myself and decided to get a nice European coupe and ended up with a newly styled 2021 BMW 430ix that was SO fun to drive…for 7 whole months 😩. It had so many electrical gremlins I traded it before those became my expenses. I say that to say this… it had the front grill/radiator louvers and they advertised those as needed for aero reasons and maximizing heat control in the winter. I remember thinking…whatever…to me it was another electronic gizmo to break.

When we bought this in May 2023 (201A) the 24’s pictures were out and specs….no 2.7 335hp engine 🤔…that was a deal breaker immediately and I began negotiating the one we got.

It’s challenging to read auto forums as the activity is usually from those with issues across the board. So do you take antidotal stories and threads about the issues to heart, or with a grain of salt? Every mfg is going to produce X amount of problems which isn’t surprising when you think about the number parts that come together and number of hands that could screw up along the way.

With that said: RR has had problems for so long for so many that I think their reputation now is well deserved.

Have fun with your new ride 👍🏻

Hi all.
Just bought a new 24 Nautilus 2 days ago. Traded in my 18 RR Velar to get it. 6 years with Velar, never had problem with it. Decided to go for it to have something newer and get back under warranty. If I didn't get Nautilus I probably would've gotten another Velar.

Don't have pics to post right now, but just imagine all black Nautilus with Jet appearance package.

I noticed that the "Jet" package wheel barrels are black painted as well. They are easier to clean due to the clear coat. Do the non-Jet package wheels have black clear coated barrels. These are machine aluminum so assume even if not black they are clear coated.

The focus can be Nautilus's on the road and around town.

Here is a Mod I performed recently on my Naut. Can you spot it? It is a NOCO charge port attached to the grille. I did this same mod a few years back on my wife's BMW. We rarely use the BMW in the winter, as with the Naut also. This external hookup saves me the trouble of having to unlock the doors, open the hood, and connecting the charger to battery, ad nausea. Now, I just plug & play...no fuss! I have a x2 NOCO Charger, so I can hook up both vehicles at once. I will be posting under hood details shortly as well.
I am adding a detachable volt meter to the port so I can quickly check voltage readings when desired. Working on that now.

BTW, picked up a “Show Your Pride” plate to acknowledge two great democracies of the free world building one fantastic automobile. The last of the great NA built Nautilus.
