Lincoln Corsair Standard Seats - I can't stand them any longer...

Is it just me or does anyone else find the Lincoln corsair standard seats to be the most uncomfortable seats they've ever set in?

If I can't talk my wife into taking this car from me then I think I'm going to take the beating that I deserve and sell it. Why I didn't I test drive this Lincoln longer... I could just kick myself. Other than that it's a pretty decent car but seats are too important and I can't take anymore. Drove it up to Colorado from Texas and had to get out every 80 miles just to flex my back and stand up straight.

I suppose it depends on what you're used to for car seats. To me the Corsair's (standard) seats are quite nice. I've been on a small number of longish (100+ miles) drives with them, both in my car and in a loaner from the dealer prior to purchase and I honestly am not experiencing discomfort.

hmmm...are you tall, short, overweight, underweight, etc? Those seats should be able to accommodate just about anyone. I've had lower back pain for decades and in all the vehicles I've owned over the years I do get some aching on long runs, but it's not permanent or inflammatory, just a general ache that is easily dealt with.... best of luck dealing with it, I know it can be annoying.

I first saw this car at a car show in the DFW area. I stood there for quite a while and talked to people as they got in and out of the corsair. It was about 60 (for)-40. Some people stated that they felt exactly the way I did. Others got in and said they loved them. Most that love them were small and very narrow people. I wouldn’t consider myself giant, 215 pounds and 6’2” tall. They feel like fake leather stretched over a hard padding - that’s just me... we were originally looking for my wife a car but due to circumstances I’m driving the car for now. She’s going to take it and I’m buying a truck within the next couple of months. Was waiting for some new ones to come out. Don’t get me wrong I think it’s a beautiful car, I just don’t like the seats and I think people should test drive them for a while and see what they think is all...

Seats are designed for the 5oth percentile, and at 215/6'2" you aren't in spec!

As an FWIW, I'm 6' 1", 180#, and love the seats, although would appreciate a longer seat cushion. It depends on what you're accustomed to..what were you driving before?...and the std "Soft touch" vinyl resembles a full aniline leather...kind of velvety to the touch with a little "Drag". Very nice and to me, more realistic than the overly plasticized "genuine" leather they use .

I'm a little smaller than Macsterguy, and have the multi-contour seats. I found they do feel constraining, especially at the back of the seat bottoms. And the padding is firm (though the leather is soft). It took a lot of fiddling with the 24 adjustments, but once I locked in I have no issue with 8 hours behind the wheel.

Kidding about what? The average American male is about 5'9", and the average wt. is about 200 lbs. Women less. You are more.

You aren't stating what it is that you "Hate" about these seats, and the limited info you do provide isn't much help. Manufacturers design parameters are typically for the 50th percentile. If you're above or below that (as you are) then you might not find them comfortable.

I have A Corsair Reserve 2. I wanted the multi contour seats which I have had before and love the massage feature. I find them pretty good especially the extension feature to ease leg discomfort on longer drives. I do think Lincoln made a big mistake in only offering this feature on on Reserve 2 models. I see for 2021 it is now an independent option on all Reserve models. May I could have saved some dollars by waning for the 2021 models!

I had the Corsair for three months before I got rid of it...worst seats ever.

I have the 2022 GT

I am not fond of the seats. I took a 1500-mile drive and was squirming throughout.

On my vehicle, there are so many electronics built into the seats that they are very hard and uncomfortable -- so much so that I had to turn on the massage function several times just to loosen up my muscles a bit. I have read similar complaints on this forum and Facebook about the Corsair seats.

Another problem I noticed is that the seat moves in turns, seemingly as if it is not bolted down correctly. It shifts slightly when turning right.

There is a TSB for the seat moving, I had it done to my 21 Reserve. Fixed it 100%

That's good to hear. Is a TSB like a recall? In other words, if I scheduled an appointment to get the seat tightened is it covered? I would kind of think it would be under a new vehicle warranty.

If a TSB still exists does it cover the 22 model?

OH! I had it done to my '22 as well! I have a lot going on right now and totally forgot. I am a little surprised they didn't fix it at the factory, but it is tight now.

My 22 has the 24 way seats.

There was no charge for either car, 21 or 22.

A TSB is a Technical Service Bulletin.
It has no added warranty coverage per se.
Just a publication to the service departments to all FL dealerships stating there is a fix or change in some service aspect of a vehicle. Any and all repairs are covered under the standard warranty terms when the vehicle was delivered new.

IF there is addition coverage or part of an owner satisfaction program, the TSB will reference that program or coverage. And the terms of that coverage will be outlined in a different publication.

TSBs are issued all the time. Additional coverage for repairs noted in a TSB would be a rare thing.

My wife and I each have a 2020 Corsair. Mine has the multi comfort 24 way adjustable seats with massage. I love those. My wife has a standard model and I don't find the seats that bad but I don't drive it too often (Mostly to put gas in it and to get service) bt she loves the car and finds it comfortable. If you buy another Lincoln, I would encourage you to try the multi comfort seats with massage. Yes they cost more and I think you have to buy them in a package (dumb idea on Lincoln's part) but they are nice. Sorry you're having issues.

I have a 22 Standard, with the Standard seats. Went for our first longer than usual trip over the weekend, (two hours each way). I'm a pretty big guy and I must say that I had no problems with comfort, or fatigue.

The so-called "perfect position" seats in our GT are admittedly a little narrow, but they were really comfortable on our recent 2500 mile road trip. However, I'm almost 6 ft. 3 in. and 170 lbs. and could blow away in a good wind. So fortunately, these particular seats are a great fit.
