Lincoln chime changing to Ford chime

Agreed. Just elucidating that in my experience it was software glitches beyond battery SOC that they could never isolate and fix.

Edit: I will say in my 2022, a handful of times, I have started it up and had the chimes come through one speaker. However, unlike my 2020, after several minutes, any and all chimes would function properly. So, in my 2022, yes, definitely batter SOC.

HI BL. I was agreeing with you too. ;)

Only trying to soothe the fears of those who don't completely understand the purpose of the "Battery Management System", and the meaning behind those "Battery Saver" and other warnings. In this way, they can enjoy their vehicle more if they understand the differences between a healthy battery/electrical system, versus a possible problem which may need a service visit for diagnosis and fixing.

And do not throw big words like "elucidating" at me! 😛

Good luck my friend. 🍻

I "Like" this too.

Allow me to elucidate....

Hi everyone,
Anyone is experiencing change in alarm chimes in aviator 21 to ford alarm chime? My dealer could know what the problem.

Any suggestions?
I've been having the same problem with my 2019 Navigator, weird warning chimes every so often. I have been complaining to my local Lincoln dealer for a couple of years now. I think it's possible that they finally figured it out after they recorded the sounds and passed the recording along to Lincoln engineering. Here's the email that I received from the service manager at my Lincoln dealer:

I spoke to another field engineer late last night, he advised that the
concern may be software in the DACM which is a subsystem of the audio
control module (radio). He advised us to update the software to the
latest level, followed by replacement. When your vehicle is here today
I will go ahead and have the tech update if available while replacing
the apim. At that point if it persists radio replacement will be the
next step.

They performed the recommended update last week and so far I have not had a recurrence of the strange warning chime sounds. Sometimes the weird sounds don't happen for an extended period of time, but I'm cautiously optimistic that the problem is solved. The APIM was replaced at the same time, but that was for another issue that I was having with the touchscreen freezing up.
