I just posted in another thread that this has happened to me a few times and in my case it was due to a low battery condition. Once charged, the symphonic chimes returned as did the approach lights and Securicode lighting.

If this is the best their engineers and computer programmers can do and then have marketing make excuses for them then it is a lose/lose scenario. So pardon my French but "Taureau Merde!!!". I love translation programs. Oh, before retiring I was an engineer and computer programmer.

I find it handy in a roundabout way in that I get some kind of notice before the battery gets low enough to actually trigger the Low Battery warning.

In my case, it lasts through an entire ignition sequence. I could drive for 30. minutes or more, well more than enough time to charge my battery IF it was low. But, if I turn off the engine and restart within 5-10 minutes, I still have the same issue. And, it is for all warning chimes throughout the cycle.

Was this ever resolved for you guys? Cuz I'm having this similar issue with my 20 aviator but I also notice one other thing that it affects besides the times when parking as your approaching a parked car. The 360 camera is overlapping by the sensored picture that generic icon of a car with the sensor proximity warning moving instead of using the 360 camera with those sensors and the beeping is also different for that while parking. So it is like pretty much downgrading the 360 camera to the proximity sensors in that situation and not just the starting sequence and the chimes for the seat belt. I know there was a recall for the seat belt reminder. I also had my alternator replaced and the chimes are still there so I don't think my battery is low. I think they charge my battery because it was completely dead before they replaced the alternator. But I'll see you today but if you guys had this resolved already and know what the fix was, maybe I can pass that info to my dealer

Yes, I've resolved it in my case by charging that battery. The same change in chimes happens and sometimes the inability to lock the doors with the Lock Symbol also happens. After I fully charge the battery everything is back to normal. This happens to me every few months because I don't drive very much or long distances.

No, it sounds like that but through all of the speakers. I don't have that vehicle any longer.

I took my 2020 Aviator to the dealer late last year for the same issue. They replaced the battery, under warranty, and it fixed the issue. The start/stop feature was also non functional at the time. It started working again after the battery replacement. Seems that some non safety systems stop functioning when a low battery is detected by the vehicle.

There is really nothing to fix. It happens when the battery charge gets low. I have posted about that before (posts 25 & 31). It happens to me as well and after charging up the battery, all is good again until the next time.

Well, in my 2020 Navigator, it had nothing to do with battery charge. A new battery was installed in mine at some point, and in short order, this occurred again and kept occurring up to the day I turned it back in to the dealer for my 2022.

I could start my car and have this issue occur and immediately shut it off. I could then go inside, wait 10-15 minutes, not charging my battery, mind you, go back out, start the vehicle, and all the chimes work properly through all of the speakers, as designed. So, in my case, nothing to do with the battery state of charge.

Hi gang. Although it may seem like a matter of semantics, Peter is correct in most cases. When the state of battery charge gets low enough, the BMS (Battery Management System) system disables "unnecessary accessory" features, in order to save enough battery power to start the vehicle when needed (its primary function). Then driving will once again recharge the battery, hopefully to the point that those "accessory" features will be enabled again.
In most cases, these "Battery Saver" and "System Shutdown" messages are normal, and only a sign that the BMS system is doing the job.

I would make this analogy: When the human body encounters extreme cold, it begins to shut down blood flow/circulation to the extremities, in order to keep the core body temperature high enough to keep the primary organs functioning/alive.
According to how we are clothed, generally first the fingers/toes. Then the hand/feet. Then the arms/legs etc. etc. All in an effort to keep the brain, heart, lungs etc, operational.

That is roughly the same as what the BMS system does in our vehicles. If the state of battery charge, and environmental factors dictate so, it shuts down accessory features in order to keep the brains of the vehicles working as long as possible.

On the other hand, as Black Label states, sometimes there is actually a fault in the system, a parasitic draw etc, and something is wrong with the vehicle.
Modern vehicles are extremely battery intensive, due to their reliance on so much electronics, computers and electrical systems.
For example: For those of us who use the LincolnWay app multiple times throughout the day to check the tire pressure, and other features (guilty here...lol), every time we use it we wake up the vehicle systems, and that drains the battery. And the sensors that pick up when we get within ~10 feet or so of our vehicles, in order to put on a light show for us, use juice too

Also, as opposed to the "good old days" when we could routinely get 5-7 years or more out of a battery, times have changed. We now get our moneys worth if we get 3-4 years out of the battery. And for vehicle not driven often or far, even less.

So the bottom line is...As a vehicle owner, we simply need to do a little research to understand the differences between a healthy battery/electrical system, versus a possible problem. Then if necessary, make a service appointment if we think something is wrong.

That is a condensed version of things, so I hope it all makes sense.

Agreed. Just elucidating that in my experience it was software glitches beyond battery SOC that they could never isolate and fix.

Edit: I will say in my 2022, a handful of times, I have started it up and had the chimes come through one speaker. However, unlike my 2020, after several minutes, any and all chimes would function properly. So, in my 2022, yes, definitely batter SOC.

For those who drive their Aviator infrequently, or all the time for that matter, maybe a battery tender would be the answer to keeping the battery at a full charge instead of charging the battery from time to time.
I used one all the time on a Corvette I owned a few years ago after having to have the battery replaced after the first year of ownership. I never had a problem with it after that.
