Lets Discuss Extended Warranty Options

And it is still not available for you?
Mine disappeared as well, as in there's no button to click to see it. It was after that total revamp of the Lincoln Way app, I believe.

I ended up with Ford Premium Care for 72 months and 100k miles. I can't find any reference to this in the Lincoln Way app nor the My Lincoln web page in my garage. I did have an issue with my name in the dealers system and this was resolved. Any advice on how I see the extended warranty show up?

thanks
Billz,
I am currently reviewing the details for a Ford ESP myself. I believe on the Ford ESP site it states acknowledgement of the selected plan appears on the Lincoln app. I am a bit leery of putting money down on a plan, and the money/plan not being credited to my account.
Verification is important to me. I would call Lincoln Concierge, as well as the dealer you purchased the plan from to verify & show proof of enrollment.
I am very surprised that Lincoln Corporate does not send verification directly to the purchaser by means other then the Lincoln App. Makes it too easy for the plan writer to "forget" to submit the plan. Years ago, I witnessed this occur at a Lincoln dealer I worked at. I am sure the scam was entirely on the part of the general sales manager, and that the owner(s) were not aware of what he was doing.

I have a paper copy of the plan and the dealer confirmed it is in the system. I find to odd that to disappeared from the app and has never been visible on the web site

A famous President once said...*"Trust but Verify"

*President Reagan learned it from scholar Suzanne Massie, reinterpreted from a Russian Proverb.

Hi Billz. From past experience: It can take some time for the ESP contract to show up in the Service section of the LincolnWay app.
Even up to 2 weeks in some cases.

However, assuming you purchased from a reputable seller, it will virtually immediately be listed in the Lincoln/Ford dealer service database.

One caveat: There have been several LincolnWay updates in the recent past. I have not checked lately, so am not 100% certain whether LincolnProtect ESP contracts are still displayed in the LincolnWay app, as they used to be.
A call to Lincoln n Concierge may be able to verify that information.

Keep us updated and good luck.

I secured the warranty in November. So plenty of time has elapsed.

Hi Billz. I had a chance to check my LincolnWay app and come up with the same conclusion as “swindler” above.

Unlike in the past, it no longer seems to list the New Car and Powertrain warranties, nor any in-force LincolnProtect ESP or LincolnCare Service plans.

I use an iPhone and it is updated to the latest available version of the LincolnWay app.

My guess is that feature has been eliminated, at least temporarily.

Perhaps some other members with the latest versions will jump in with their observations. Otherwise, a call to Lincoln Concierge may help solve the mystery.

Keep us updated and good luck.

While looking for the warranty info on the app, I noticed location has reverted to GPS coordinates and doing a refresh does not work. I locked it via app and then location date refreshed but still GPS not address.

Yes. It was removed after the revamp of the app.

The concierge won’t be able to confirm your Lincoln protect policy.

Call the LP admin at 1 (800) 392-3673

You can request a mailed copy. It takes about a week to get it.

I think you might have either been at a location that did not translate, or maybe there was a problem with the translation service. We've been out a bit today and up saw addresses on Lincoln Way at every glance.

Also, the refresh is time-limited (30 sec) but also the refresh works in the background. Once you trigger it, the app appears to be idle, but then after anywhere from a few seconds to near a minute the location will update.

Could this be what you're seeing?

I am aware of the 30 second refresh since I got the message. It would scan (strobing effect at top) but not resolve. I did refresh today (I turned off wifi) and it resolved but still gps coordinates. I am getting in the mood of "normal for lincoln". The same attitude we did with our quirky 2001 Chrysler Cirrus.

We all must be careful in coining any sub-par performance issues, software glitches, quality issues etc. as being “Normal for Lincoln”.
I own a Lincoln.
The issues one may experience with a different model Lincoln may not be present, and/or not applicable to the one I & others may own.
It would be more apropos to say it is “Normal for the Hangzhou China Lincoln”.
We need to be careful not to debase the entire group of Lincoln offerings over one problematic stepchild in the Lincoln model lineup!

I hear you but for me the main gripe is not with the vehicle but rather Fords inability to deal with the issues in a timely way. It is clear to me that SW quality control is poor. I don’t care where they developed and test their SW.

Ford quality is down across the board. Many Ford brands have had engine issues and having recalls. The Nautilus build quality is great to me - fit and finish. It is the software quality that suffers as said taking far to long to fix issues. Do not blame workers, blame their management in the US.

Understood, and I agree it just should not be!

I agree there are software problems, however I do not agree the rest of your opinion. Owners of the Corsair, Aviator, and Navigator are also struggling and those vehicles are very much not built in Hangzhou China.

And other than software, I have no issues with my Nautilus. There are plenty of folks with NA built Lincolns having issues equal to or greater than the 24+ Nautilus. Inserting China into the conversation is irrelevant.
