Sorry, to hear about your mom. Glad you can vent here. Better to let it out then keep it inside to fester.

[quote name=\'BECG\']wow.. 13 days without a reply.

I wish I was here on better terms.. but i\'m here to vent. Mom was diagnosed with cancer a week and a half ago. She had a hysterectomy yesterday. I spend the day in Galveston with her. It just isn\'t right seeing your mom curled up in a big hospital bed connected to tubes and wires.. and in so much pain she can\'t even open her eyes.
I have no one to talk to about this.. Facebook is off limits because I have so much family on there and she doesn\'t want anyone to know. The people at work are worms and I don\'t waste my breath on them. Mike does all he can.. I just hate whining all the time about it. So.. there. I vented. Thank you for listening.. reading.. or whatever.

Hi Heather......haven\'t been on here for a while, like a lot of you. sorry to drop in during such a bad time for you. I can relate somewhat to what you\'re going through. several years ago my Dad, who lived in Florida, was diagnosed with Colon cancer and well, I thought I would never get through that. between all the knowing, not knowing, etc... and then adding in the traveling from Indy to FLA.....I thought I would go insane. but then I remembered HIM. it was\'t about me and all my issues, it was about my Dad and his surgery, recovery and spending some quality time with him. he came through the surgery just fine, well enough for him to \'send me packin\' back to Indiana. I was home for about a month and \'got the call\'. I think he just didn\'t want me to see him and remember him those last days.

sorry for being a downer, but all you can do is appreciate each and every minute you can spend with your Mom and just be there for HER. just keep telling yourself that she\'s young, she\'ll pull through this. it won\'t be easy, but you\'re a Mom yourself. you have that motherly instinct and in times like this, it just \'kicks in\'. I know I did stuff for my Dad that if you told me a week earlier that I would be doing that for him, I\'d say you\'re f$%king nuts. but instinct takes over and you just do what needs to be done.

I wish your Mom, you and the rest of your family well. just keep a positive attitude around her and everything else will take care of itself. :)

Kevin... Wow man.

thanks guys. It was a rough few weeks. The surgery went good.. but she got soemthing called a pulminary embolism. Not fun stuff. Luckily they caught it before it went real bad. The did some sort of emergency surgery on Thursday and she now has some weird contraption inside her body near her lungs that honestly looks like a fishing lure and is on injectable blood thinners for 6 months plus heavy restrictions on what she can and cant do or eat. Heck, she isnt even allowed to floss her teeth for fear she may bleed out. Weird stuff... definately an odd week. But on a positive note, she invited 5 nurses and 2 doctors to Thanksgiving dinner.. and tried to hook me up with a male nurse while under heavy sedation.
The test results on her surgery arent back yet.. tomorrow is the \'at the latest\' date. So we will see. No word on what is next.

Thanks again for the support.. and for the words of wisdom Kevin.

I put over 20k miles on it from december to july. I loved that car, I had some AWESOME memorys in that thing, and it killed me to let it go. The body was going, the HUGE ass dent form my accident, the rear end was still FUBAR, and i blew the trans to kingdom come! I drove it for 2 months with out OD, 2 months with 3rd barely working, and then finally I toasted it. Went through 4 sets of tires too. and got 3 tickets. I need another one, and this time IT WILL BE A NICE ONE... and im gonna build it RIGHT and its gonna be sweettttt.

The second one would have been if it wasnt for my accident... I had almost all the 5 speed swap parts, that motor ran AWESOME, but there was just no way to afford all the work while in college....
