I\'ve heard you can mash cauliflower and substitute it for mashed potatoes, but I\'m afraid to try it cause last I checked I didn\'t like cauliflower, but it\'s been years since I\'ve tried it and I don\'t know if you would add to it like you do to potatoes. Some day I will try it... but I\'d like to hear someone else review it first before i try... someone willing to volunteer?:crossed:

Get a drop in steamer tray for a large boiling pot (it\'s flower shaped with about 30 petals that move individually). You can steam veggies and then melt cheese on top of it if you can\'t stand the taste of steamed veggies. Mom used to put crushed red pepper in with the cheese to give it some added kick

Spinich isn\'t all that good for you. It\'s not bad but isn\'t as nutritious as you think. It has some iron and Vit. A I think...

[quote name=\'Big Panda\']if you\'re into pasta, you might try the \"Creamette\" brand Rotini. I forget what they call it, but it comes in multi-colors and is made with spinach and some other veggies. really pretty good....actually I think the pasta sauce covers up any taste it has.

Hell, a box of that is only about $1 and will make 3-4 meals, or maybe even MORE. :)

I do like the tri color pasta, just not the whole wheat (maybe it was the brand I tried), but Panda, in this house 1 lb box = 1/2 meal. I have 4 sons and 1 daughter. 3 of the boys are between 18 and 20...plus there\'s me.

Sauted chicken breast with mushrooms, onion, and spinach (along with assorted spices) mmmm :yum:

Steve you leave my spinach alone!

Careful, Lynette, I have ALWAYS a Big-Time Hatchet fan, and any girl who likes Hatchet tunes HAS to be Great. Well, great Joy or Great Evil, of course, depending on her disposition. I like your new sig better, too. Sounds sexy, attractive, provocative, Mysterious. MOS made me think,\' Best not speak or it\'ll cause Problems..\" As acknowledging/speaking to married ladies ALWAYS does for me, one way or another. I don\'t go to Boss Lady\'s family reunions anymore because I found that when I talked to her aunts/cousins it got them in Trouble with their S/O\'s. Hell, I\'ve been around the In-Laws all of an hour in the last three years. I don\'t PLAY that shit, or Need it, either.
Sorry to hear about the boy. Take him to the Doc and have him drug-tested. Many times theft is the first OBVIOUS symptom of being a Pillhead. It is around HERE, anyways. Your mistake was going easy on him, and it\'s Too Late, now. He\'ll Make It, or Go Under ALL On His OWN. I KNOW, we got a 16-year-old who thinks she\'s a Princess. The Very Worst thing you can do to her is to tell her No. One of the more Pressing Reasons I\'m Leaving Here. I was Raised by a Nagging-Ass Bitch, Be DAMNED if I\'m putting up with ANOTHER one! ESPECIALLY not a stupid KID one. The ONLY time she\'s ever been nice or sweet to ME is when she wanted something from me. I broke her of that by telling her I despise whores and prostitutes. She didn\'t Get It til I suggested she Look It Up in the Webster\'s. Now she doesn\'t try ANY babyshit games at ALL on me. Yes, after eight years, Mr. Nice Guy has LEFT the fuckin\' building! I realize your situation is a mite Different, as REAL Mothers can\'t just cut their own kids out of their lives. On occasion it\'s WONDERFUL to be a Male. This is the ONLY time in my life I\'ve EVER looked forward to being ALONE or Single. Which tells me it\'s almost Time To Die. Forgive my ill mood, I\'m wishing the world WOULD End today again.

Veggies can be had for cheap. Don\'t you have like farmer\'s markets around where you live? We have one downtown and there are always deals. I remember one time it was 5 peppers (red bell, yellow bell, orange bell) for a buck! Them shits are like 2.50 apiece usually. Anyhow, some stuff is always pretty cheap, carrots (don\'t be lazy, get the raw kind that still needs it\'s skin removed), cucumbers, lettuce, etc.

The farmer\'s market near me is a chain, so it\'s a bit more expensive, but cheaper than the grocery stores.

I\'m finding it isn\'t as expensive as I previously thought, as long as I stay away from the prepackaged/ready made low fat, low cholesteral, high fiber stuff. I\'m learning to find the time to cook healthy, exercise and do the right thing. I\'ll get there.

and advice is always welcome. Thanks ;)

Yeah, prepackaged anything is expensive, big ripoffs. The reason most people don\'t eat healthy is because it actually takes time and effort, same with exercise. People are fuckin lazy.

Hey Tommy, do local NYCers like yourself typically hate Manhattan?

sorry , repost ignore this post

I know I do. Been working there since 93. I don\'t hang out there if I don\'t have to.

The majority of people who \"love\" Manhattan are the out of state transplants.
