Why are people stupid?
Why are the stupid people always placed in customer service positions?
Why do companies wonder why they have crap reputations when they place the 40-IQ crowd as the customer service people?
 The dumb ones are placed as customer service so that anyone with an actual request (other than \"I found this on the shelf, here is money for it\") needs to do battle... And they get brought down to the idiot\'s level and then beaten with experience. Therefore no special request gets fulfilled.
Oy, the headache I\'ve got. Simple job: I need a tire for my motorcycle. I went to a dealer, they looked up the size and offered me 3 brands. I chose one (Michelin) and paid. Order placed. Expected arrival, 2-3 days. 7 days later, still no arrival and call. So I call... \"Oh, your Pirelli tire is no longer available from our distributor\" \"I ordered a michelin\"
\"It says a Pirelli was ordered, but it\'s not available. I don\'t know why it was ordered\"
\"Well what about the Michelins?\"
\"No, there aren\'t any in your size, and you have to have the exact size on a Silverwing, unlike on a cruiser or custom bike where you have options\"
\"Uh-huh. So what IS available?\"
\"Well, we can order the exact same (piece of crap) Bridgestone that the bike came with, or we can order these Avon (even bigger pile of crap) tires... Or we can order these IRC tires.\"
\"How long, and how much?\"
\"uhm... let me look\"
All of them were about DOUBLE what I had already paid, and would have added another week to the wait with no guarantee they would have even ordered the right item. Idiots.
I only needed one tire, and they sold the unavailable tire to me for $67... I got BOTH tires (The Pirellis that weren\'t available) for $80, within 10 minutes of starting to look. Plus $25 for shipping, that\'s STILL only $52 per tire.
It\'s not like I expect them to stock every tire known to man, but when Pirelli (which I had considered anyway) discontinues one model and replaces it with the model that I supposedly had on order (and now DO have on the way)... You\'d think the guy at the store would at least order the correct tire for the customer.
Oh, and the Michelin he suggested? Yea, not even available in the USA for my bike, at least not yet. Idiot.
