I have a 2019 Lincoln Navigator and almost every day, sometimes multiple times a day upon entering the vehicle, the mirrors start clicking for about 20 seconds and stop out of proper alignment. The dealer has been trying to repair this for many months to no avail. How many others may have this problem.? One service representative who has now resigned from the dealer told me that 3 out of 10 Navigators have this problem. Attached is a screenshot of just a sample of the number of the videos taken of this issue.

Thanks for the reply! I've been working with Lincoln Mercury on this for 5 months ... Ever since I got the vehicle. They've changed out the operation system and it's even worse. I will go on the expedition forum and see if they offer anything the Lincoln hasn't done.

My 2016 MKX does this infrequently, sometimes the driver mirror, sometimes the passenger mirror. Only happens after the mirrors have been folded in.

Attached for those that may have a similar problem is a video of my clicking mirrors!

Thanks! Mine has been doing it for 6 months almost every day. No pattern left or right. No pattern with or without mirrors folded.

check this out, would not be the first dealer to fail on this issue! I had the same issue 2017 f350 (folks tow rig)

Dealer just fixed this issue on my 2018 Lincoln Navigator (mirrors clicking randomly and leaving mirrors in upward position upon starting the vehicle). Paperwork refers to "21022 DDM and PDM reprogram" to fix the issue which is numbered as issue# ssm 47835.

Having the same issue, had the vehicle since April 2018, only started doing it about 3 months ago, dealer did the reprogram and still happening. Not sure what to do next.

2018 here and same issue. Had it “fixed’ once and was told the motors were replaced...and it‘S been doing it again for several months.

Is this fix still applicable? I'm taking my vehicle in next week.

My 2019 navigator is doing this now. Had anyone been able to find a solution?

I have same issue with my 2018. It seems to be related to what key I use and the memory setting when last person drove it. For exampke if wife gets out of vehicle after using memory setting that matches up to her key then I get in with my key linked to memory setting 2 then I get the mirror bottoming out on left or right, never both. Just read thru the thread about the reprogram TSB. I have not seen this on any repair orders but was told would need to have both keys to resolve.

Is this a recall? I been told they will charge me

Tech told me issue related to key programing conflicting with seat programming. For example, Key 1 set with seat program 1 is not a problem but key 2 with seat program 2 makes the sideview mirrors go wonky to extremes of position

Has anyone figured out a successful fix for the mirror clicking/adjustment problem? It happens every time we adjust the seat with programmed seat setting.

One unfortunate answer is to put auto entry on off.

This setting being off stops the mirror adjustment, but also the seat adjustment and the steering rake & telescoping adjustment when you enter the car. I learned this when I turned off the auto-entry to stop awful grinding noise with steering wheel raking adjustment (that is another $650-700 repair to replace both raking & telescoping actuators).
