Cabin air filter change DIY…WTH!

Does anyone have access to the shop manual for the 2024 Nautilus? The glove box glide/slide on the left hand side needs to be released before the box will drop. Totally nuts that this is not obvious.

Thanks for the help
For a '24/'25 Nautilus a warranty claim could be tough, if it's the sliders/dampeners on the swiveling section of the glovebox.

Neither the workup that Tammie/Jason did on Facebook, nor the actual workshop manual, talk about unhooking sliders. Based on the info from FB and the WSM, it isn't really designed for you to just release dampeners on the sides of the rotating part of the glove box. This isn't like replacing the CAF on our 2011 Honda or 2017 Lexus.

Step 1 of the '24 Nautilus Cabin Air Filter (CAF) section of the WSM is "Remove the glove compartment." (GC) with a pointer to GC remove/replace. It's removing the entire box, not just removing the swiveling piece from the GC.

Cabin air filter replacement involves:
-Removing the side trim panel (the thing with the airbag symbol on it) - it has 6 clips
-Remove a 7mm bolt that helps hold the front trim panel (to the right of the GC itself)
-Remove the front trim panel (there are 4 clips holding it there after the bolt was removed)
-Remove the Under Dash Right Side Lower Cover Trim Panel (UDRSLCTP). It has two clips (one on each of the "arms" that extend furthest towards the passenger seat), a connector for the footwell light (about halfway down the diagonal part of the UDRSLCTP right edge), with a pair of tabs/flanges extending out from the bottom edge (closest to the firewall).
-Remove the 6 T20 screws holding the entire GC assembly onto the frame. 3 screws along the top edge (accessed from inside the glove box, screwing upward), 2 screws in the bottom of the box, screwing upward (why you had to remove the UDRSLCTP), and one screw on the bottom edge of the right side (outside of the main GC body itself).
-The whole GC assembly then pulls straight back, releasing the 4 clips that still hold it in place.
-Disconnect the GC light connector on the top of the glovebox when you can see it.
-The actual CAF change is simple - push the two retaining tabs on the CAF cover sides outward to release them, replace the filter.

I was studying the design and believe the shelf dash design (to allow wide screen) removed a lot of space that complicated air filter placement. If I decide to do this, I may order the slider piece ahead of time.
