Thinking from just a software update perspective, something either didn’t install properly (or update properly). These software updates with modern vehicles can get glitchy sometimes. We had a problem with a 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk software update. It took a few visits and “re-updates/re-installs” for the dealership to get locks, lights, etc to work again. It was a headache…although once fixed, remained fixed.
At least with us on that vehicle, part of the problem is the techs are not software people. Not like an IT person comes in and takes care of an issue. So I think that adds to the wonky nature of getting something like that rectified, even though looking in from the outside it seems like it should be quick, easy…and frankly not a problem in the first place.
Has the dealership been able to provide any updates to you?
