I had my 2024 detailed at the dealer. As I drove home I noticed that I had two stains at the end of the wiper travel. They are a cloudy blue color. I took it it back and they tried some solvents (acetone?) and even had the detail crew try to rub them out with 0000 steel wool. The stains are still there and now there are scratches from the steel wool. It’s not so bad, except when you are driving into the sun! The dealer has essentially dropped the issue , not claiming any responsibility.
I’m trying to come up with a plan to replace the windshield. (Dealer jokingly suggested following some gravel trucks around.) the windshield is supplied by Fuyao Glass and they have an office nearby. Any suggestions on how to approach them?
I’m also going to be talking to a concierge person this week and see what they have to say. I’ll also chase it with insurance and a glass repair facility.
Any other suggestions? Any one else have this problem?
Because of the location and pattern of the original stain, I think it may have something to do with the wiper travel and wiper solvent. The only solvent ever added was by the dealer..
Thanks for your input.
