I agree it is disappointing to have these frustrating issues with a $110,000 vehicle. All aspects of said vehicle should be perfect. But I think that some manufacturers now look at form over function. The factory wheels that came on my Gator were sure pretty! And at a cost of $1,800 EACH!!! they should be! They were actually a work of art! But certainly not functional for my needs. The crappy 4 ply bottom end Hankook tires { another $300 each } made it even worse. I bought my Gator in Naples Florida on a whim, canceled our flights, and drove it home to Idaho. I have never had a vehicle with 3.5" sidewall tires before, and by the time I crossed the Texas border I was non stop complaining to my poor wife that these pieces of crap tires are coming off of here the minute we get home. And that happened in two days after driving 3,100 miles in 4 days of road proven inferior ride and handling. The difference was very noticeable immediately. So,,, I am no expert, but lets face it.... The vast majority of vehicle owners have no idea or, don't care how, or in what way their vehicle should or should not ride, handle, and drive. But man, look at my new pretty wheels! No vehicle is perfect... I can tell you a coupla things I am not happy with on my Raptor too. Ya just fix things how you want them because the dealer will only do so much. I will be curious to see how your experience with swapping different factory wheels and tires works out! Please keep us updated!
