2024 Hybrid Nautilus (Engine Problems)

And my dealer told me today they haven’t received any seed stock, and I am at the top of their list for when they come in!

@swindler, hopefully we aren’t at the same dealership lol.
Yeah. I was wondering how many 'top of the lists' my dealer actually has. I'm sure I'm not alone. 😄

Someone on FB reported a check engine light coming on, on the way home from getting the injector replacement. I've asked them to provide follow-up, what the dealer says they found (it's back at the dealer now). Hopefully just an electronics glitch, but we'll see.

UPDATE: "They found that one of the fuel injector connectors was loose so it was the mechanics fault who installed it. They apologized profusely"

My dealer told me this morning they have the injectors in, but are out of the needed clips, which are being provided as seed stock. BUT…I should be assured they have me at the top of their list to contact once the parts are available.
My dealer (St. Louis) told me they are expecting to receive the parts this week (heard that last week) but also assured me I'm at the top of the list.

The Canada full Dealer Bulletin came out on May 27 (US one was May 20). Thanks, as always, to Haz on another site.

Interesting that in Canada's case both this and the Canada Advance Notification letter specifically call out Sales Manager as someone supposed to be getting it, which means it's intended for sales staff to know what's going on. On the Advance Notification, Canada's had "RUSH TO SALES AND SERVICE MANAGER" (including the bold and underline).

Apparently seed stock stock is now being received by dealers. One dealer I spoke with in FL has a bunch of injectors, and one in MD received 80 on Monday. Looks like the crisis will be over soon. At least until the next one...

Call the Lincoln Concierge and express your concerns. This gets things officially documented with Lincoln corporate plus they can be very helpful in getting things resolved and getting the correct people from the Lincoln engineering side involved.

Let us know how things work out. Good luck!

Concierge is useless. They are very polite but they move nothing forward

It’s likely a very small percentage. It seems that it occurs within the first few hundred miles. I wouldn’t be worried.
I got to 1028 miles and engine went

Easy there feller. Ones not sold or delivered are being separated and parked now as we speak. The issue is known and it will be fixed. Replacing injectors is not that difficult at all. If the car is already sold and burning gas it seems to be drive at your own risk for now. If it’s fine when the new parts come in and they are replaced than it will still be fine afterward. All of them are not going to wind up lemons.
For those who have already had issue we are working with them to see what their idea of solution is.
It’s not time to burn our own house down yet.
It easy easy for you to say relax. My engine went at 1028 miles. It happened exactly as the Customer service memo says. I have been without a car for over a month. Concierge is useless. You have to get escalated to two more departments before they even start doing anything and it is a fight. Absolute nightmare

I bought mine last week, so at least some dealers are showing and selling these cars; a CSP is arecommendation, not a requirement, such as a recall. I specifically asked the service manager if the VIN I intended to buy was repaired before we did the deal, and he looked it up and said yes (or I would not have made the purchase). When I checked again later (after driving 1100 miles from Florida to Maryland, thankfully with no issues), I was told my car had not had the injectors replaced; my local dealer changed them within 48 hours. Concierge is indeed useless, since dealers make their own policies (I certainly wouldn't want to be answering the concierge phone lines).

When people say to relax and speak about the low percentage of cars affected, this is true. Unless it's YOUR car, then it's 100%, like for Lthistle, with whom I sympathize. I was very angry that I was lied to by the service guy in FL (imagine, a car dealer lying about something!). We could have gotten stuck in rural South Carolina with little recourse. The only other issue is that the steering wheel is slightly off center. I was told that the alignment specs have not yet been released by Hunter (not sure I believe this either, although I can't imagine why he wouldn't want to do an alignment). I will be after the service guy at my dealer next week to check the alignment and center the wheel. If we didn't like the car so much overall I'd probably be more upset.

I received a survey from Concierge yesterday and did not give them a very good score baseed upon communication and follow up. This forum helped me more.

I did get a survey from Lincoln for the injector repair work and I did give a great score and then received a thank you from the service manager.

re CSP vs RECALL … my understanding is that a RECALL is a requirement to meet a Government regulation (Safety or Emissions) and a CSP does not involve the Government but is required by Lincoln of the Dealer per the instructions in the CSP.

My dealer is sticking to that "recommended" not "required" line. Ticks me off. The CSP is very clear. My salesman says they have the parts and if I put a deposit on the one I want that he'll get the replacement made.

They have about 18 hybrids in stock and they will not update any of them until someone makes them, really.

I'm going in today to see one that's on the CSP list but has all the options I want. I can reserve it and they'll have it fixed by the end of next week. We'll be out of town until then anyway.

I was going to wait for the new arrivals, but the ship is a long way from port. He said it was off the coast of Japan now. I have a $2000 Lincoln discount if I buy before July 7th and I don't want to lose that money.

I think it is time to start calling out the bad and good dealers by name.

My dealership in Columbus, Ohio has been very responsive from both the sales and service departments. They are a Black Label dealership. Bob-Boyd Lincoln.

My local dealer now has a $2000 off on instock Nauts.

I would call the Concierge back and request a buy back since you have been without your vehicle for that long. I have a buy-back that has been approved for my Corsair. We are just waiting on my Nautilus to get delivered.

When I requested the buy back they were very responsive and I had an answer in a much shorter time frame than they quoted.

My dealer claims to be the number one Lincoln sales leader in the US for the last 6 or more years. Who knows if it's true: Not a great dealer in my book but the only one in town. There is a smaller one in a neighboring community 30 miles away, but very little stock.

North Park Lincoln, San Antonio.

Funny, I've seen quite a few comments on here that their dealer claimed to be #1. 🤔
