2024 Hybrid Nautilus (Engine Problems)

Very nice. That date was my original 'production week', but it was moved up. My build started on Thanksgiving, and was completed the following Tuesday. I guess no time off for them.
Using the ford parts site, my build date shows 11/18, yet it didn’t arrive at the dealer until April. Maybe the injectors failed in China and they had to redo them 😄

The Automotive Detective. Another interesting theory. You do a great job delving into the issue with your knowledge of the operation of the vehicle. But if this were the case, I'd expect a quick decision on the remedy and the campaign to already be underway. Perhaps there's a supply issue or something else delaying the action?
It is just a new theory I'm looking into at this point. I don't think Ford would openly admit to any mistake if this is the case so no quick remedy would be in order without proof there was a flaw in any original calculations. The injectors could be different and operate within their design specs but real world conditions might reveal an unexpectedly higher failure rate. I really need some part numbers from other users. The injectors also have batch numbers and could show us if there was a specific bad batch.

Can I ask which SFL dealer? Mine was Coconut Creek.
Fwiw, my South Florida dealer is all over this issue, although they did stop and then restart Hybrid deliveries. One of their guys is very active in this forum.

What was your build date?

Yes you are right…making it even harder to figure out true numbers. Especially trying to consider a global market as well. I couldn’t make a guess to the recall % in relation to actual vehicles made.

It looks like your build is beyond the cut off date so you are good to go.

The notice was over 7500 hybrids built until late February and would suspect hybrid is less than 50% production so they likely built 15,000 vehicles. Given the lead time, I doubt 80% have been on dealer lots. If i look at dealer inventory, many are still in transit.

The Canada CSP notice is for the "Nautilus," not "Nautilus Hybrid". Is the non-hybrid model not sold in Canada or has the CSP been expanded to include both models?

Both are sold in Canada. If you look at the Subject line of the CSP Notification Blair provided it clearly states it applies to the FHEV.

It would seem a very high percentage of hybrids built during the the first few months (October 2023 thru, say, end of 2023) would have been shipped out and have either been sold or are on deal lots by now. Agree?

My hybrid was built on 12/25 and did not make it to the lot until late March so staging/transit time is long. The Feb builds are probably arriving now.

I discovered that if you look up your VIN on Ford parts ordering site, it provides the day of build. Mine showed 12/25/23.
I just checked the VIN of a Nautilus in my local dealer's inventory on Fordpro.com to see its build date, but I don't see it. It breaks the VIN down carefully, but aside from "build sequence," I don't see a way to decipher the actual build date. Am I missing something?

https://parts.ford.com/ shows my build date accurately.

Try parts.ford.com

If it's not obvious, parts.ford.com, enter your VIN and ignore keyword for search. You'll come to a screen with your vehicle listed on the upper left. Click on that and it'll expand to show some details, including build date.
