2024 delivery schedule

I saw the Chalet interior on my last visit to the dealer. It is BEAUTIFUL. Butttt, I'm soooo glad I selected Redwood (NOT that it is a great choice though). It's WHITE, and a LOT of it. There is a 3 color interior combination with the Redwood. The Chalet appeared to be 3 colors as well but not as noticeable as the Redwood.

I can keep my White exterior clean and looking beautiful. It is extremely hard to keep the White interior clean. If you wear jeans, it'll be blue real fast. Looks great on day one but take a look at it on day 180.

The other thing I noticed about BOTH interiors is the actual material itself. They call it a suede but it is more like material to me. I am clueless at this point on how to keep it clean. You can use a leather cleaner on the outer perimeter but I'm not so sure how to clean the inner sections as it will suck up any type of cleaner you apply. But once I get my Nautilus I'll get it figured out.

HI SgtLip. If this helps...Concerning the "Suede" interior. In Lincoln/Ford vehicles (and most vehicles) the "suede" is actually either "Alcantara" or "Miko Suede" Both are synthetic suede materials.

If you Google either, you can find the websites.
In any trusted source I have ever seen, using traditional leather cleaners on the synthetic suede (and even real suede) is not advised.

Hope this helps and good luck.

I guess I’ll have to store microfiber cloths and a bottle of leather cleaner in the car. Don’t want blue coloring smearing the seats.

Hi Khak. While I assume you are joking, you don't need to store leather cleaner in your vehicle. Simply periodically clean the interior leather and synthetic suede, as all leather requires. And remove stains as soon as possible. This does not need to be done immediately, simply every once in a while.
Of course, it surely won't hurt to store microfiber cloths and leather cleaner in your vehicle in order to attend to things immediately. ;)

In addition, while many owners neglect to properly take care of their leather seats (dash, door panels etc. if applicable), periodically cleaning and conditioning the leather is very important, if we want it to look good, last, not discolor/stain, crack etc.

Good luck.

Thanks bbf. Now someone will have to recommend the best leather cleaner for us!

Hi Khak. I use Lexol and/or Meguiar’s brand cleaners and conditioners.
Essentially whichever is on sale when I need to replenish my supply.

However, there are many good brands, such as Mother’s, Tanners Preserve and others.

Just be sure to get an automotive leather cleaner which is safe for automotive/micro-coated leathers.

Most automotive leathers have a clear micro-coating, so we want to avoid harsh petrochemicals and abrasive cleaners.
And we need to clean and condition the leather (yes, even though it is micro-coated).

Feel free to ask any questions (perhaps start a new/separate thread asking questions about leather care) and good luck.

Getting back to the '2024 Delivery Schedule' topic…for the ocean trek all of our vehicles are funneled onto the same ship. But for rail most all of us take a different path to the dealer.

I wonder how they prioritize rail deliveries? Volume to a city? Distance? Order priority? Dealer stature? Are the train routes already set and they just attach to whichever one is going to the same place?

I'm looking for rationale as to why I'm still sitting on the river bank. 🤨

You haven't paid the middle man yet.

Although it could be argued we were off-topic today, I did enjoy this zig-zag and it did benefit me. I've been talking to the dealer about upgrading to a BL White w/Chalet model that he has coming in. I didn't realize how light-colored it is until you made me go back and look. It was going to be a surprise for my wife. However, she just spent the cost of a BL upgrading the kitchen and bathroom to remove all the white in there. I'm starting to wonder if going to a white/white BL is a smart move. 🤔

Where is yours going? I got an update today also. Was on a train heading likely to Chicago to continue on truck to CT.
Dallas area. I'm not sure which way it will go. I think the most direct path is through Denver. But it could go south, along the border until it got to El Paso, and then cut across. Chicago is unlikely, but it's such a big hub I could see it routing there anyway — just like FedEx used to route everything through Memphis.

I just did that. Came in this morning. Picking it up in the morning. Glad I went with the BL. If you look close I think it's worth it. Pictures on FB.

I hate to blow your bubble, but my vehicle is still at the railyard in Portland after it updated 2/8. My eta is now 3/8.
Bubble blown. 💥 Couldn't you have given me the night? A couple of hours maybe?

Monday I was going to ask for a VINView to see where it was and get an ETA to confirm.

I would still do it. I will get another update Monday.

See, you should have paid that middle man.

Its possible yours completed some shipping prep or was moved to a pre-loading lot on the 8th.
