2024 delivery schedule

Got a new last updated date on my tracking page. Looks like an event has occurred. I’ll bet it’s finally been loaded to a rail car.
[Everybody on the forum scrambles to check their date.]

Mine's the same. 😒

A Gmail from Lincoln said my car would be delivered to dealer between Feb 4 - 10. On the 5th my tracking was updated. Hope that means something

Have you checked your dealer for vinview location?

On order tracking my date was updated to 1/31. I’m thinking I will see my car in about 10 days. Feels like a lot of cars from the Glovis chorus are finally on their way.

Just checked with my salesman. No change. He is checking everyday. He agrees that this is frustrating waiting on rail to get its act together.
I’m just waiting for you to hear yours is moving before I check with my salesman since I assume ours will arrive together.

Some on facebook are reporting their order updated, too, one saying that their order was on rail. I guess we have clue just like when it boarded ship.

Really? Then mine should have been too. When was your built and shipped. Mine should be loaded onto a ship too then right??

How did you know about when it boarded the ship

Does anyone know my car shipped 1/31, and then since then it hasn't moved at all. But the salesman said it was released. Does anyone know how I know when it has been loaded onto a vessel, and then the vessel takes off, and why my dates aren't moving if it has been released for a week now.

@Vishan, when we talk about the date changing, we're talking about this one right here.

This date updates whenever there's a major event (Order confirmed, Production scheduled, Built, Shipped, etc) but it also updates when there is a minor event (Ship boarded/departed, Ship landed, now possibly Rail loaded). When you get a VINView trace, you also get an event log and all these events are detailed. So VINView will always show you when these happen.

So we believe you can determine when your vehicle was boarded by checking for the status date changing after the ship date. If your ship date at the top is 1/31, and your last update is also 1/31, then we think it hasn't boarded yet.

Note that we also have evidence that it's not real accurate. So it can be a few days off, but it is still indicative of an event occurring.

OK thanks. I was starting to get suspicious that it's not really accurate because on here my car shows built 1/24. But when my dealer called me he told me it was 1/23. And he sent me a screenshot.

My family ordered two Black Labels on the same day April 22, 2023. Both orders submitted and accepted within minutes of each other. Both built late October and shipped late November. The first was delivered by the dealer Jan. 13, 2024. The other one only arrived yesterday Feb. 7. That implies there may be a backlog of overland rail transit and car haulers for two cars built almost the same day to arrive at the dealer over 3 weeks apart. My salesperson never bothered to keep me updated on the status of why there was such a wide disparity in delivery dates.

Thats why this thread has been invaluable to all of us. We've all had to do our own research as a group. Couple of the guys on this thread were great at tracking down the ships. All any of us get from our dealers is a vinview, usually without words even attached.

I think we're beyond implication at this juncture. The fact of the matter is that cars are sitting at Portland for weeks after they arrive. Once they get loaded onto an actual railcar it is about 10 -14 days after that to the dealer.

LARS and I are already into week 3 since our cars were unloaded in Portland. I think the only question for he and I is whether we will see our cars move in week 4 or week 5.
