My Lincoln
23 corsair
Hey everyone,
I just purchased a 23 Corsair Reserve II. Does anyone have either links to the parts to add the subwoofer back or an after market solution that still looks factory. I need some bass but not sure what is needed to add this without affecting the cars ANC system.

This is one thing about thos vehicle that frustrates me.
For 2023 on the window sticker Lincoln showed a subwoofer delete. For 2024 models they don't show that.
I just took delivery of a new Lincoln Corsair it does not have the subwoofer either. I enjoy a nice stereo system in a vehicle. L
I am an electrician. I I can't believe if they had a supply chain issue they couldn't retrofit something else. The Ford Escape comes with a B&O sound system. You telling me you couldn't install that subwoofer anyway possible?
Seems absolutely ridiculous they short change is like that.
The rear has the cover where the subwoofer would go. It's just a blank shell there's nothing there.
If they can't retrofit something I wish they would offer the Rebel audio system as a upgrade. Their competition The Cadillac XT4 offers a Bose stereo system as a standalone upgrade option.
To get the rebel audio system I'm forced to pay for an $11,000 extra package. That's simply not worthwhile to me.
I'm sure you could take this vehicle to an audio specialist and have some kind of subwoofer installed. Now you getting into issue voiding a factory warranty making electrical changes.
It's pretty sad that the Escape rolling out of the same plant has a vastly superior stereo system than the majority of Lincoln Corsair vehicles do.

I agree but am surprised no one here has not tried to order the sub yet to share their success/failure with that option.

This question has come up in at least one other thread. Many comments but no real solution was found by the comments posted. I can't speak for the 2023 or 2024 Corsairs, my 2022 has what looks like a subwoofer behind the grill and my sticker shows a $250 credit for the deleted subwoofer. So if I really have the subwoofer then what looks like is missing is the amp to run it. Which makes some sense since a small subwoofer isn't going to cost $250. Plus tearing apart the dash to add in the amp is probably going to cost was more than the $250 deduction.

At least that's my story. But I've been wrong before.

I understand but I would be willing to buy what is needed if I just knew the parts. I have the speaker with no magnet also. Just unclear about the amp if that is needed or not.

That is the question we all have been asking and no one seems to have an answer. I have looked at parts diagrams for Lincoln and they are as clear as mud to me.

Hi gang. Just addressing one aspect of the subwoofer issue:
It’s not always as simple as it seems.

In this case, the Corsair and Escape use different audio systems. And the Corsair Premium and Revel systems utilize different components than the B&O system.

So the B&O system components being available has no affect on the Corsair features availability.

I realize this information does little to make those waiting feel any better, but it hopefully helps a little.

Good luck.

I understand but someone out there must have an sub option they have gone with.

Hi Nickynickyoyotech. I understand 100% that some owners are looking for aftermarket solutions/replacements.

My reply only refers to the factory/OEM audio system/subwoofer, and the reasons why the Corsair subwoofer was not available due to various epidemic induced supply shortages. In some cases, contracted suppliers even went out of business.

And answering those who were wondering why the unavailable Corsair subwoofer could not simply be replaced with the available B&O subwoofer from the Escape. On the assembly line.

Hope that makes my reply a bit clearer.

Good luck.

It does but I have to imagine the parts can be ordered since some were made with it and if they failed the replacements would need to be ordered. I just need a list.

Hi Nickynickyyoyotech. You don’t need to convince me. 😉
I’m only elaborating that I was not and am not referring to aftermarket solutions.

For those interested in trying to order the factory parts when they are available? My best advice would be to go to the Parts Department of your local Lincoln or Ford Dealership and ask for the part numbers and some information on availability and initial pricing information.

Or hopefully another member will be able to help you get that information.
I’m not sure if anyone has already posted those part numbers?

Let us know how you make out and good luck. 🍻

Hey everyone,

We also purchased a 2023 CORSAIR GT with the “subwoofer delete” option and have been trying since to find out what is missing and how to restore functionality. I am disappointed with LINCOLNS attitude of “you bought the vehicle knowing of this and were given a credit”. ALL WE. WANT IS HOW TO FIX IT! Without compromising anyone I’m was speaking to a LINCOLN tech who is pursuing this for a customer and said they have to source (from LINCOLN) and install a new subwoofer amp at a cost of about $1000.00.
Seems to me it would have been simpler and cheaper to identify the missing chips in the amp, acquire and install the chips and every one is happy.
I am disappointed that LINCOLN is not being more cooperative to help customers who paid a lot of money make their LINCOLN whole again.
We should bug the shit out of LINCOLN to get this resolved.

Can you explain a bit more please? Link to eBay amplifier? Did you install yourself or have aftermarket place do it?

When I was shopping around, I found a 23 that had the delete on the window sticker, and I asked the dealer and they said it likely has the speaker, but not the amp, as it was having supply chain issues with the amp. WHpo knows where the amp is located, maybe it's plug and play if you could order one? Likely the wiring is all there already.... Who has a parts manual?
