Little detail & coating project lined up for next weekend.
Nice! What are you thinking of doing? If you saw any of my bimmerpost stuff, I've become a pretty committed weekly wash guy, but with rinseless wash.
I use McKee's N914 and TW flex wax, which works pretty fabulous for the time it takes. I can do a full wash in about 30 min including set up and tear down ... but there really isn't any other than charging my pump sprayer and getting out my mitts
BTW - man if I have tried every MF rag, mitt, and sponge out there ... I've settled on the rag company Chenille mitts and I use the "garry dean" method, i.e., a new mitt for each panel, working top to bottom. So easy: spray, wipe, chuck it in the dirty bucket, grab a new mitt, etc. Then I use TWFW as a drying aide.
I've done about 6 long road trips now and every stop I get out with some double strength N914, spray it on the bugs, and they wipe right off.
Quick off-topic pic (
but not if people are into detailing!)
This was taken after a two day drive, including through some rain!, 500 miles, interstate & country miles, no wash other than bugs on the front
I think it looks pretty dang good for a car with no ceramic, no PPF, just rinseless washes &
turtle wax
