2022 Navigator

If you are on Facebook, please check out the "2022 Lincoln Navigator Group" I created. Like all of you I sat in limbo wondering where in the heck is my car and created the group to share with other frustrated buyers. After thinking I was never going to get my car that I ordered, I changed it up a little bit and expanded my palate. I decided to include BL and search for dealers with inventory for both. Low and behold I was able to find this baby which I drove home yesterday. Green wasn't even in my top five color choices but the more I researched it the more I fell in love with it and have already gotten many compliments. View attachment 13390View attachment 13391
I joined that a few days ago and saw this. Very nice.

Was this one in Indiana? Also-how much over sticker did you pay?

Took delivery of the new beast, the 2022 4x4 Black Label L Navigator.

Same exterior and interior I had on the 2020, Pristine White Metallic Tri-Coat and Chalet theme. This is the L vs. the regular length of my 2020. It is raining today, so I only have managed a few pics I will post here. My initial impressions, in no particular order, are below the pics.

IMG_0358.JPGIMG_0359.JPGIMG_0363.JPG

1. The rain sensing wipers work much better. My 2020 always sensed more rain than was present, and I had it set to lowest sensitivity.
2. One annoying issue that was never solved was the SiruisXM song title being displayed on the instrument cluster. Works on this one.
3. The lack of engine cover: no discernible increase in engine noise. In fact, the engine sounds quieter. Go figure. Looking at the engine, no way the
2020 cover will fit. See pics in Engine Cover Missing thread. There are added components on this engine. Wild guess: ActiveGlide components.
4. The map orientation is cool. There are no + and - buttons or re-centering icon that I could find. It is pinch and zoom. Cool part, you can reset the
view after that if you want. If not, after, I think, 5 seconds, the vehicle icon "snaps back" to center.
5. Speed limit signs on map are more accurate than on Sync 3.
6. Lincoln never admitted I should have had "Miles to empty" on HUD and instrument cluster simultaneously. BS about VIN/build date. Um, it was a
Black Label. Why would something have less functionality? Answer: they were lying. This one displays both properly.
7. When I pulled in the driveway, I did a Sync update scan. Took 5 seconds. 5 seconds, you read that correctly. 2020 would take several minutes, at
best. All over the air, as I was NOT connected to wifi.

Okay, those are just some things I was able to notate, at red lights, of course, that I noticed. Engine/transmission shift points seem peppier as well. Maybe just the new vehicle excitement. Have not been able to test ActiveGlide yet but will do so soon. Love it so far. The issues I mainly experienced seem to be working correctly.

Now, they had to re-clean much of the suede interior. It was smudged with fingerprints or something that must have come from the factory. Who knows? They should have caught it in the prep, but whatever. Pam, the RAV salesperson, got us in and out quickly, and the finance guy had everything ready and took less than 10 minutes. A good experience, overall.

Hi BL. Congratulations! She's a beauty!

Best of luck! 🤗

Looks great congrats!

Fyi

I had the same smudges on the chalet suede interior on my 21 BL navigator L.

Factory workers must hate white interiors. 😂

Yep, same on my 2020. Wonder if it is actually residue from gloves they wear. I'm going to give feedback to Lincoln on it.

Also, only a 30 minute drive home so far, but Sync 4 was not lagging or buggy as was the case on the delivery drive home 2 years ago.

Congrads Man! It took a while but that just makes you appreciate it that much more when it has improvements and everything is working as it should.

Thanks for providing your feedback on the differences and it will be interesting hear about any other things you notice going forward.

We have definitely enjoyed the extra length with our "L"

That grill sure does look nice!

Thanks! Yes, definitely worth the wait.

One thing I am curious about is "Live Traffic" on the navigation map. I did see road construction on my drive yesterday but the roads were not highlighted in green. Wondering if with Sync 4 it only shows "Bad" traffic, amber and red on roads.

Drove on I-55 here this morning. ActiveGlide is as advertised. Worked like a charm. Warned me when I looked away too long. There is a You Tube video of a guy driving around Phoenix. He demonstrates how the vehicle will eventually jerk the brakes to get your attention. I tried the same demo, and yep, it does. It did have me put my hands on the wheel when going directly in to the sun.

Works great, though.

Also, and I always thought the sound quality was good on my 2020 BL, the Revel system with 28 speakers sounds pretty darn good to me. I know a lot of audiophiles seem to complain, go figure, about the system, but it sure suits my purposes.

One of the things that never got fixed on my 2020 was a rattly right front door woofer speaker. It was replaced, they tried seating it in there properly. Nope. I always had to have the bass turned way down. Now, I can turn up the bass in this vehicle.

Didn't realize the new Nav has Intelligent Adaptive Cruise. When picking up the wife at the airport just now, when posted speed limits change, the system adjusts the set cruise speed to the new posted limit. Very cool.

Oh that is neat.

I assume it is doing this based off of a GPS location. But, I also heard that some cars are actually able to read the speed limits signs as you drive.

Stored info but also the cameras and sensors read the signs.
