2022 Navigator

Ordered in November, and just received my vin yesterday. Producation date 2/28 too. Prob gonna be the same for Black Label

Hi all,
Following this thread closely, as I ordred my BL on November 02. I'm in the Bay Area. I've sent a few emails over the last couple of months asking if there's been any progress, but nothing yet. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get a VIN soon.

Would be ironic sort of. Took delivery of my 2020 on February 28.

Dealer texted today, have a VIN and build date of 2/21.

I'm in the same boat as @Tcrowe and @georgiagirl_1990 : no VOC, just the "not an invoice" sheet and no email from Lincoln.

The dealer has actually asked me if I've gotten the email, no, so then they were "checking" which took 10 days, then they came back & said they're "validating with Lincoln" then they said "Lincoln is reviewing the order" and now they're saying they should hear something in the next few days.

Given there's no order number I'm not even sure what I'd tell a Lincoln Concierge if I called and it seems pretty clear my order hasn't been placed for whatever reason.

I'll give it a few more days and will then consider moving dealers.

Black Label are you locked in a navigator?
Test drive a AMG G63 it has 577 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. About $150k
I don't believe those are available as I understand MB isn't making V8 engines this year and as of last Sept there were pretty much zero available as I called about 20 dealership all over the country looking for one and the waitlist was insane when I was even quoted one (1-3 years).

That said, the G63 (and GLE63 & GLS & X5M & X7 M50i) don't really compare to the Navigator IMO as they're all much smaller and much less functional.

The 'Gator is a winning & unique product that really doesn't compare to anything other than the Escalade (and the newly announced Escalade V) which is great on the tech but also much less functional.

If someone is looking for a road-going yacht that can legit tow stuff with tons of interior storage the 'Gator really has no peer.

Interesting you didn’t receive a confirmation email from Lincoln. I got mine within a couple hours of my order being placed. Did you check your spam/junk folder just in case it got filtered out?

If you haven’t received an Email it’s because they haven’t placed your order yet. I would definitely follow up with them and get them to check the system, if they made some mistakes and placing the order then Lincoln will send it back to them to correct. That was my situation. I called the dealer yesterday and talked to my sales person and he said he had gotten an email that morning from Lincoln that something was wrong With the order, he corrected it, resubmitted it and then I got an email from Lincoln right away.

HI Georgia Girl,

Yeah, it's weird - my sales guy proactively emailed me after "the order" to see if I'd gotten an email from Lincoln (of course I've been checking spam etc), but I haven't and since then we've been emailing every two days and it's always some new different story about "checking into it".

At this point I've asked for the VOC and I'll give him until Mon or Tues and then switch dealers I think.

It's really odd why they'd lead me on - it almost seems like run of the mill incompetence but I can't tell ...

Anyway, thanks for the help!

That guy on Facebook was me. Why would I lie about the priority code? LoL

Hi G-166014. Reread my reply that you quoted. Where did I mention anything concerning Facebook or state that anyone lied about anything? My reply was only to Tcrowe about the fact that priority codes below 10 can only be assigned by a Ford Regional or Corporate office/entity.

Good luck.

UPDATE!

My dealer sent me a VOC that has a "tracking number" and "authorization number" but I don't see a priority on there ...

Do anyone know if there are there any examples of VOCs out there I can compare to?

Thanks again everyone!

This is my confirmation email. No tracking or any other info. Glad you got your order confirmed and hope everything goes smoothly here on out!

No. On another thread I am trying to get a gauge on when to expect an email from Lincoln now that I have a VIN and build week.

Thoughts on this article?
Well, it's not much of an article, but given the limited info I guess it can't be ...

Overall the Sequoia seems to compare favorably to the Expedition and, given Toyota's legendary quality & reliability, might be a new benchmark especially for the rear seat functionality, and potentially the hybrid system ... though it remains whether a hybrid is a positive or a negative in general, but given Toyota's track record & knowledge of hybrids if one was going to try a large hybrid truck this would probably be the one to try. The ability to drive electric only (e.g., for, say, 30 miles) and recharge nightly - if the Sequoia has that - is a good peace of mind feature.

With that, at least under the Toyota brand, the Sequoia seems far from a Navigator competitor, and the tech and features seem to catch up but not exceed where the 2022 'gator already is.

I feel like by the time I finally get scheduled and built the 2023s will be available. I still don't have a scheduled build date or VIN.
