2018 passenger side rear seat entertainment screen not turning on

How much did it cost for repair?
I have the same issue with the passenger monitor in my 2020 Reserve (out of warranty). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. The dealer said VOXX tech recommended we replace the screens. I shared this thread with the dealer and asked them call VOXX back to discuss changing the wire harness. Dealer came back to me and said they would replace the harness for $550. Plus they charged me $99 for diagnostics. I would also be interested in hearing what other dealers charge for this. Thanks.

I had this issue on my 2018, where the side button was illuminated indicating it had power but the button would not turn on the unit. I had to remove the FAKRA connectors from the coaxial cable under the passenger seat, that runs from the driver side tv to the passenger side tv and replaced them with BNC style connectors that I soldered and crimped in place. With tools and parts, fix took less than $30 works great now.

It is the wiring connector under the driver's side seat. It powers and communicates with passenger seat. It has green and white wires going to it. If you move these around it will likely get it working temporarily. I am contemplating getting rid of the connector and hard wiring these together.

One note here. I have a 2018 with factory RSE. I have had both screens and the coax cable replaced, and I still have intermittent issues. EVERYTIME my passenger/slave display doesn’t work, you can turn it on and control the display with the Lincoln Play app. It doesn’t solve the greater problems, but using that app has saved me from pulling over, moving the passenger seat forward, and restarting the vehicle. I have no idea how or why the app can control it when the buttons that are physically installed cannot, but it works.

I thought the Lincoln Play App was discontinued? I had to get a separate tablet for content with a HDMI to run to the drivers side monitor.

I think the app is discontinued. I have a 2019 reserve L with the same problem passenger monitor not powering on.

Not sure if this helps, but the screens are made by Audiovox (VOXX). They still have an app that has the same controls as the Lincoln Play app.

The connector is certainly the issue. I am still try to find a good solution for using the monitors without a useful app. I tried connecting a phone or tablet thru the hdmi but it doesn't just duplicate or project the screen. Very frustrating.

I confirmed this VOXX-RSI works to control the RSE in my 2018 Navigator.

I have a Roku plugged into the driver side HDMI. I had VOXX send a new wire harness to the dealer, they installed and I have had zero issues since. Works great now.
