2005 Ed Taylor edition?

Yes.....some wacky limited editions, I think there was a presidential edition, there was Jack Nicklaus edition as well in the 90's. What I would have really liked to get was a 25th Anniversary Edition. But I do like my summer toy and I get a few head nods from people. I do think that good condition high trim level town cars will start to make the radar of the collectors market. When you think these were the last true body on frame V8 luxury sedans and were the longest running platform in North American production (33 years) they have some collectable aspects to them. Who would have thought even 10 years ago that Brady Bunch station wagons would be collector cars and bring in the kind of money they are these days.

Ahhh! Thanks very much.

The CarFax for this vehicle shows that it was a US car that was imported into Canada. The earliest service record shows a "Steve Baldo Mercury Lincoln" in Amherst, New York in 2005 for a pre-delivery inspection. After reviewing the listing again it is a "Signature Limited" at 113K Km's. Have asked for chassis pics, ad claims stored every winter.

Take care.
Ed Taylor was my grandfather. My dad ran that dealership and those cars were specially ordered and designed by the sales manager bob Colby. The were just a spec to have something special on the lot. Not too many of them around

Thank you for the extra info. I will be getting it appraised this spring. Taking it out of winter storage next week. According to the Marty Report there were only 379 made with the option(s) listed. It has everything, including THX sound. I am on the hunt for an OE trunk organizer as it was shown on the report to have been ordered with one but it's gone.

Detailed inside and out for my appraisal before it goes into storage for the winter. I think Town Cars are the next "sleeper" collector cars. Last generation of North American luxury and good ones are going for way less than Marauders and Police Interceptors are all done. Panther platforms have a lot of collectability to them, IMO. Longest running production run of any North American manufacturer and the last full body rear wheel drive. I'm hoping the get the appraised value between $20-$25K.....Canadian $$.

I love that chrome trim around the tail lights. IMO that should have been a stock item on every Town Car. I added some aftermarket pieces when I got my first Town Car back in 2012, but I managed to damage a tail light, which meant disposing of the other one too. Now it’s almost impossible to find them aftermarket.

Yes.....hard to find those trim pieces these days for sure, especially here in the "salt belt" as Panthers are becoming more and more rare and the later years (post Wixom) were pretty stripped down as these cars became fleet vehicles more than retail consumer vehicles. I had the chrome B pillar trim but as with most of the trim on these cars it bubbled and I replaced it. I scoured the internet but no luck finding OE chrome B pillar trim, so I had to put the black on it. I'm still looking for the OE trunk organizer as this car came with one but I think they're all gone too. This car has literally every option that was available, THX system, trunk organizer and whatever else came in the "Limited" trim package, which was a dealer ordered upgrade from the Signature Limited. I did the Marti report on it and this is one of 379 made in 2005 with the Limited trim package. One could argue this is a one off as it was ordered by the dealership for Ed Taylor's personal use.
