Got me one!!!!

Got me one of them damn tinted window tickets tonight, blah!!!!!!! Cop pulls me over and ask for my license and reg, I say \"what am I getting pulled over for\" he say \"excessive tint\". I am thinking oh come on now, jesus, with all the crime in the Bronx ya got nothing better to do.

So he ask me to roll the window up 1/2 way and he stick something on it that reads the darkness I guess.

He comes back and tells me he gave me 1 for the drivers window and could have gave 1 for each window, and to take the tint off and take a picture and send it with the ticket. So I will get a old pic of my car before tint, or Tommy\'s car and send it in, and stay out of that precinct for a while.

I swear, what kind of world is it that you cant have a loud car and tint, jeeeeesch!!!!!

And as Tommy and Anthony know, when it rains it pours, just keeps getting worse!!!!

If you go to the optometrist and tell him that the HID lights at night really hurt your eyes, you can get a prescription to have tinted windows. A guy I knew in Miami had gotten one. And it probably helps if you tell them you can get migraines, too.

Also turn on the interior lights before the cop reaches your car. This is appreciated for cars with or without tint, but it will make the tint a little lighter looking at first if your tint is borderline. If he checks with a light meter or if you have Ray Charles tint, you\'re still screwed.

I usually do turn the lights on inside or roll windows down when I see one, but I was stopped at a light and he pulled next to me, so he had a while to check out my tint

I was pulled over 7 times in one year in omaha for that and guess what, I never got a ticket for 20 % tint, they eyeballed it, lighted it, gunned it, felt it, and every time they told me to take it off the car, I told them \"as soon as I get home officer\" always be polite to the police they can make it alot harder than it has to be, they are just doing a job not alot of people want to do, they put up with shit heads most of the day, and typically they are nice people if you are not a smart ass to them. for the record the original tint has never left the car and will stay there until the policeman himself pulls my tint off.

I doubt Nick was a wise ass to the cop. I\'m never a wise ass and always nice, and I still got that unreasonable noise summons (even though it was dismissed on Saturday). Cops here in NYC just have a shitty attitude and think everyone they pull over is a criminal. Once in a blue moon you\'ll get a cop who\'s part human lol

I got several tint tickets in my Mercury capri, 20% windsheild, 5% the rest of it. funny thing is it was always less then $50 so I just payed it. never got a ticket for the lowered car or modified engine without recon tags, or the fact that I had open headers, just the tint. always figured it into the gas price when I got her out of the garage.

I recently got pulled over with the 91\' for a loud exhausts in Central Islip by a Suffolk county cop. it went like this

ME: Good evening officer
Cop: Hi, i am offfice (forgot his name) of the suffolk 3rd PCT. Do you know why i pulled you over this evening?
Me: Failing to signal when i passed that guy goin 15mph?
Cop: No, actually. Its because your exhaust is extremly loud. Do you have a custom exhaust or straight pipe on your vehicle?
ME: No, im so sorry officer. A few days ago i was driving and i hit a huge pothole in the road and it took out both my exhausts by putting massive holes in them. i just got the car inspected. Unfortunatly im broke and cant afford to fix it...plus it sounds cool.
Cop: so what brings you all the way out here...from----Glenwood Landing?
Me: seeing a lady friend of mine.
Cop: Good Man. Since youre being a gentleman, get thoes things fixed when you have the money. And oh---by the way...did you have your seatbelt on?
Me: No. Ya got me. put it on me when you pulled me over.
Cop: Thats the right answer. KEEP YOUR BELT ON! Have a safe night.



The guy could have written me for several tickets. Ill tell you though, he went after me with a vengance when the cop went to pull me over. he wasnt stopping me to let me go, but wound up doing so

to avoid tint tickets:

go to a dermatologist and get a doctor\'s excuse saying that your skin is very sensitive and the sun burns, even for a minute. then keep the note/excuse with your registration and when you get nabbed again just show them the note/excuse and say that without the tint, you could DIE.

in CA the legal limit for tint is NOTHING... you cannot have TINT at all on the front side windows. nnot even from the dealer. it is a $146 freakin ticket. and it sucks
