Got me one!!!!
Can you see outta that thing at night? Around here where there might not be as much ambient light at night, I think i\'d be blind. \"I can\'t see sheet.\"
:werd: Gotta love those moonless, overcast, foggy nights out in rural America. :|

Got me one!!!!

Its not too bad, regular driving you can see no problem. Backing into my driveway at night i do have to roll the windows down to see my reverse lights in my mirrors better.
to avoid tint tickets:

go to a dermatologist and get a doctor\'s excuse saying that your skin is very sensitive and the sun burns, even for a minute. then keep the note/excuse with your registration and when you get nabbed again just show them the note/excuse and say that without the tint, you could DIE.

in CA the legal limit for tint is NOTHING... you cannot have TINT at all on the front side windows. nnot even from the dealer. it is a $146 freakin ticket. and it sucks
soooo many people in Sacramento have their front windows tinted, the cops just dont enforce it much here, I was told its a \"fix-it ticket\" in which I could have one of my buddies sign off. hehe. I\'ve had my front windows tinted on 2 different cars for a total of about 5 years and only been pulled over once in that time period.

Got me one!!!!

Never got stopped in the 7 years I owned the LSC let alone ticket formy tints and I run the same ones in my van too.
Guess we have real crime for them to take care of.. :)

It\'s racial profiling and stereotyping  ...

The cops see people with unusually dark tint as people who have something to hide. Like alcohol :hic: , drugs  , weapons :dead: or the hobby of such. You wouldn\'t want to do any of this stuff while cruzin\' in a Pacer (atleast without tint! )

Still to asume that you are worthy of the cops \"checking further\" just because of your taste in cars is kinda like being guilty before proven innocent yes/no? :dunno:

--It\'s a good thing they never want to look for the stiff in the trunk! :D

Got me one!!!!

Mine came from the junk yard with deep tint.

Best guess is this car came from New Jersey or Pennsylvania, tint laws must not be very strict.

goddamn f$%king RIGHT on!
my fiance\' has a 2000 Firebird, midnight blue with dark tint. she got pulled over on Christmas Eve last year just after dusk.
what did the cop think? \"Firebird, tinted windows, this side of town... hmmm, probably a mexican or black guy pedalling some drugs\"
what did the cop find? my 22 year old fiance driving her 86 year old grandma home from Christmas Eve DINNER! i wasnt with her, but i guess the cop was like \"i pulled you over for, uh, uh, roll your window up for a sec.\" from there it was a fix-it ticket for $164 (she just paid the fine without removing her tint)

fuckin right its stereo typing and racial profiling. i just wanted someone else to bring it up first :D
about 75% of cars/truck/SUVs in Fresno have their front-side windows tinted. i mean, it gets 114 degrees out here for 2-3 weeks straight, and we get 8 straight weeks of solid triple digits in the summer. we NEED fuckin window tint to keep from FRYING.

Maybe its just that its illegal. WTF makes it racial?

Got me one!!!!

i believe it was more stereotyping than anything else.
the fact that she has owned the car for many years and never gotten stopped for it, and the place and time she got stopped at, is a notorious street for meth trafficing, but its the road she had to take to get her grandma home. and the reaction from the police officer when she rolled down the wondow and realized what he had done.
plus get this: she didnt even have her DRIVERS LICENSE on her! the cop actually said \"ok, well the computer is down at dispatch, so i cant look up your DL#, i will just give you a fix-it ticket\"
:yesyes:

I don\'t remember who gave the advice to roll down the windows when you are stopped But thanks it helps.! 3:00A.M. North West Louisiana farm country headed north toward a Dry Country in Arkansas. I was cannon-balling back from the Power Tour. I\'m Well out of Town deep into the Farm land area and a Louisiana Sherriff and Deputy pull me over for speeding. :dunno: I was trying to keep it under 62 in the 55 posted limits. Yea it was 55 in the middle of nowhere. After hours of 80 to a 110 in other states that wasn\'t easy on that rough corn cob road. But I rolled down both windows, was nice and didn\'t argue when he said he clocked me at 65 and 70MPH. Told him all about the Power Tour, skirting the back side of Hurricane Arlene and why I was traveling straight through on a Saturday night . (Sunday Morn). He let me off.:crossed: I might have mentioned some family names still in Louisiana before, but I was just nice. But I think rolling the windows down helped. Oh and hands on the wheel too.:crossed:
