Nice concept vehicle. Too bad Lincoln wouldn't venture into the supercar realm.
I bet that would take on the McLaren P1

The AI car renderings are getting better... That WOULD be a cool halo car for Lincoln. It would likely do for it what the NSX did for Acura. But an incredibly niche market...

I wonder how a $100,000 Lincoln Coupe would sell in this market?
MSRP for the highest priced 2026 Mustang in a dealership is $80,000+

Playing in six figure land is competing against brands and models that have a lot of history.
Benz, BMW, Lexus and more
As to Super Coupes like the McLaren, which is a seven figure car. That dream would be in a pipe for the current Ford management team. Unless you are thinking about a next version Ford GT.

Low production sports cars are not what Ford Motor Company is currently about. The exception is the Ford GT of recent years. And this serious 6 figure car was built in Canada by a private company under contract. Ford builds a thousand or so copies and stops for a time. There is a race only version (Ford GT IV) that will be sold for 7 figures. Overall this model has some history. A Lincoln coupe does not have the same.

Ford has already gone down the road of limited production coupes sold at the dealerships in the old LM Sales Division - Pantera, imported Capri, Probe, Merkur. The results were disappointing to say the least.

But I guess dreaming doesn't cost that much.

Right, I don't think anybody would expect Lincoln to actually build this... But we can dream!

They should bring back the equivalent to the Pantera under $80K, simple 5.0 v8 with possible 10 speed AT, and pull it under the Lincoln brand so it can be in their dealerships.

^^^^^ Another dream!

Ford Motor Company would not produce a car that competes in price with Mustang.
In that price range ($80K) it would compete with Mustang.

Given what Pantera was in the early 1970s, it was more of a race car than a street car. Today it would be called a Super Sports Car niche.
Entry HP for that market niche would have to be North of 600 hp.
The closest domestic competition would be a Corvette. (Which is at the lower end of HP for most Super Sports cars)
Well into six figure land.

If Ford produced a 600+ HP real super sports car for $80,000 many would buy it. The company would lose money.
And I would sell my stock in the company and buy one of those before the company experienced loses.

OR buy a Mustang Dark Horse. A base model is $64K to $69K. Nicely equipped is $80k. Only about 500 ponies and it has a back seat. But what the heck?

Since we are playing with dreams that will never happen ........ let me toss in mine!

I would like a ...............
Body on Frame two door coupe. (BoF is inherently quieter) Long hood short deck lid

Yes a personal Luxury car like the terminated Continental Mark Series
Rear wheel drive with whatever current engine gets 350+ HP and 400+ # of torque with an electronic 10 speed automatic
(Really, I want a naturally aspirated V8 and in todays world the likely engine would be a turboed or blown six)
All wheel position computer-controlled air suspension on a fully independent electronically adjustable suspension. With 4 wheel electronic ABS disc brakes.
With wide tires on rims that are no larger in diameter than 17". (Smaller diameter, more torque and if I want to smoke the tires that can happen)
Yes Karen, there would be dual chromed tipped stainless steel exhaust system

The interior would have power operated heated and cooled leather seating. The cooling would be done with refrigerant from an AC compressor. I live in Phoenix.

Power ..................... Brakes using a vacuum booster. Steering using hydraulics. Exterior foldable automatic electrochromic dimming mirrors. Interior automatic electrochromic dimming mirror.
Auto electric windows, all positions
6 way seat tracks both sides with electric reclining backs. And electrically operated head restraints.
All electronic digital instrument panel. ZERO analog for anything with includes HVAC and sound system. (Mixing read outs styles is not classy)
Read outs to include engine oil pressure & temperature, Coolant pressure & temperature, Transmission fluid pressure & temperature. The position of the readouts and any instrument cluster can be configured at owners choice. Plus speedometer & Odometer.
A fuel data center that would record ave. and current speed, fuel consumption distance, integrated into an electronic continuously updatable navigation system.
Heated and cooled cup holders
Voice activated 12 speaker sound system with connection to the internet. With auto connection to cell service and WIFI as a hot spot.

Any on/off switches are rocker. No knobs
All exterior glass would be controllable electrochromic dimming. Like exterior mirrors, but all glass. (Except as mandated by law. SOBs)

Exterior
The tail lights to wrap around the entire rear of the vehicle. (all LED) In the center tail light section would running lights or a message center to the vehicle behind me. Messages like, "YOU ARE TOO CLOSE BACK OFF" would be available to vehicles that got within 2 car lengths at speeds greater than 30mph.
Auto dimming/adaptive LED headlights. All exterior lighting would be LED

I believe this would be a good start

Yes, a new Lincoln Mark personal luxury coupe would be really nice... I had a Mark VII LSC. Always wanted a Mark VIII LSC but that never happened. I would have even been happy with a Thunderbird Super Coupe - but no... I guess it wasn't meant to be... :p

Those are easy dreams to make happen. Because both a Mark VIII and Thunderbird Super Coupe are available in the marketplace. Just search and buy one.

Getting Lincoln Motor Company to build a new vehicle as stated above, is the real dream. They have to build a product and bring it to the market such that 20 or 30 thousand people a year are willing to buy. (That is where the money meets the road!!!)

The dreams floated about (except yours) above do not fill that requirement as not enough of the buying public wants that kind of "dream".

Ford does not make cars for the fun of it. They make cars to sell at a profit, so they can sell cars tomorrow.
Taking the dollars out of a "dream", just means the dream has no basis in reality.
Look at the last generation Thunderbird.
