Rear camera washer

I must be having a bad day, as I can't find how to wash the rear camera (I know a wet sponge, or even a finger will do it) but there is a spray nozzle there. I have been unsuccessful in searching here or in the digital manual. How do I spray the rear camera lens?

I love a good mystery. The online manual says “Operating the windshield washer also turns on the front camera washer.” About the rear it says “Push the lever away from you to operate the rear window washer.” It does not mention the rear camera.

I’m going to GUESS pushing the lever runs the rear window washer AND washes the rear camera, but we’ll have to try (tomorrow) and see.

If you run the rear windshield washer it also washes rear facing camera. I experienced it this morning as I backed out of my garage. I stopped in reverse and ran the rear windshield washer. The camera was still on and I saw the washer also wash the camera lens.

That's how my Nav's rear camera gets cleaned, with the rear window washer.

The backup camera washer is one of my favorite features. Right up there with the door keypad. Both have changed my life.

Put ur car in reverse and back press ur windshield washer, voila! Spray cleans ur backup cam!

They dropped it on the '23 Corsair. I'm working with the dealer to get the parts to add it to mine.

Interestingly, when the dealer looks up the assembly for our 22 (to get the parts list), it shows we don't have it (but we do).

The same concept applies to the front camera (if equipped). Run the windshield washer and the front camera is washed. I'm not sure if the front camera washer is on all model years, but it is on my 2021 Reserve (both front and rear).

I just discovered it is not on my 2025 Aviator. Some comments have referred to it as a cool feature, I beg to differ, I consider it a safety feature and I am disappointed that it is no longer available.

Yes, I discovered that my 2025 Aviator didn't have it during a rain storm when reversing. I looked for a nozzle and it wasn't there. The dealer confirmed the rear camera washer was no longer available. I told the dealer I considered it a safety feature and I was disappointed in its deletion. My 2021 Nautilus had it and it was fantastic.

They deleted the front camera washer from the Nautilus in 2023 as well. I just added mine back (super easy to do actually!) The rear camera washer shouldnt be too difficult either. Just a Y piece and hose and nozzle (plus the bezel to accommodate it) Its fully contained inside the rear liftgate.
