Lights on approach

My lights under the side mirrors never light up.
Have you gone to the Vehicle Settings | Ambient Lighting configuration screen? There's options for both setting the color and the illumination intensity.

Hi G-412008. Are you referring to the Welcome Lighting/Lincoln Welcome Mat that illuminates under the left and right side view mirrors, when we approach the vehicle with a keyfob?

If yes: If the feature operates the same as other current Lincoln models, the Welcome Lighting/Lincoln Welcome Mat will only illuminate when the mirrors are folded in. Do you have the auto-fold mirror setting enabled?

Keep us updated and good luck.

Good point.

They are dim and hard to see unless fairly dark.

Agreed. It took me 7 months to notice them.

Hi swindler. Just to add to all of the information everyone has previously provided: Yes, they are not designed or meant to be visible during daytime.
Mine are clearly visible at night (when they are meant to be). If anyone else's are not visible at night, then there may be an issue that needs to be diagnosed and corrected.

Good luck. 🍻

Should the car light up when you approach?
I was disappointed with the inconsistency with approach lighting for first 4 weeks with my 2025 R2 which the dealer could not resolve. As others have mentioned, the feature will disable itself after a number of times of turning on without driving the car to preserve the battery. Someone in another group suggested turning off PAAK (you may also be able to turn off bluetooth but I did not try that option) and keeping my fob in a faraday box as both may have been trying to communicate with my car. I was skeptical, but the welcome lighting works great now! Also, the "mat" will only light up if car is locked with mirrors folded, so in my garage I get welcome lights but no "mat".

I wish there was a way to turn off PaaK with switch in the app. Being able to choose to turn it on and off when needed would be great. As it stands, my car sits in a garage located about 70 feet from my front door. There is a window in the side access door to the garage that faces the front of the house. Periodically, at night when I'm walking by my front door, I catch a glow coming from the window of the access door because my approach lights have engaged. That is because I have my phone on me and I went near the front door. That means the BlueTooth signal is very strong...too strong. I'd rather turn of PaaK and turn it on when I need it.

Licnoln Engineers: If you are listening, please add a slider switch to the Lincoln Way app to turn PaaK on and off at will.

"Licnoln Engeers" Did someone mess with your keyboard or is it too early in the morning?
The Embrace lighting should only activate when you are about 10 feet from the vehicle. I have noticed, however, that my 2025 seems to activate sooner than my 2023 did. I'm guessing the lighting comes on when I'm approximately 20 feet away and I have both the keyfob and phone on me.

Yup, thick thumbs and poor vetting on my side. Mine triggers at about 20 feet when I only have the keyfob, but up to 70 feet with PaaK.

Disable app refreshing in the background so it must be open for PAAK to work. Also location services only available while open.

This is what I do.

Thanks. I tried doing that previously and it worked except I no longer got notifications until I opened the app. It is hard to find a good balance without having direct control of PaaK.

Edit: I found it not so bad loosing notifications with the Nautilus, but it is inconvenient with the Corsair GT (charge complete, pre-condition departures ready notices, etc.).

You can disable some PAAK aspects by just removing the "nearby device" permission for the Lincoln app. I have mine set that way.

It does not affect remote locking and starting since they use cellular connection.
