Lets Discuss Extended Warranty Options

I could comment, but I bought the ESP package from the dealer — which you're not supposed to do. So don't listen to me, as usual. 😉
Hi swindler. 😂 There is absolutely no harm in purchasing a LincolnProtect ESP from our selling Dealership … As long as we perform our due diligence/research, get our best available pricing, and get our Dealership to give us a matching or competitive price we are happy with.
In the end, we all need to do what is best for our own situation.

And yes … I do realize you were primarily joking, 😉

Good luck! 🍻

Do you know what you paid ?

I understand it is more complex than that. I have only begun to search. I was asking for hard numbers but mostly getting non-specific commentary except from one person.
My numbers likely won't be similar to yours. My car is a CPO 2021 and yours appears to be a new 2024. I just now completed the contract via email and a link to sign the document and paid online. I cannot recommend Granger enough. I would also suggest just calling them vs using their online ESP tool. Many thanks for steering me to these online sellers gents.

Nothing wrong with that … especially if they matched or beat the best price you got from the on-line dealers pricing you got. If your dealer ‘business’ dept (where you you do all the paperwork and they tempt you with all the add ons such as ESP) will not negotiate on ESP price, perhaps the sales dept, will increase your trades value to offset the ESP cost to your best online offer.

Pretty sure it was $2540. They touted a big sale they were having. I was planning to buy it later, so I hadn't performed any pricing research. I got caught in a quandary. Then, my wife stared at me until I bought it.

They did help by offering more for my trade-in than I could get anywhere else. But I know today I could have handled the situation better. I just should have said 'no' since I hadn't shopped prices other than a spot check.

But I'm not agonizing over it — except when I read on here I could have done better!

We rejected all the dealer add ons since a surprise and no time to study. He tried to bury in loan and did not want to another hour there

Question for those that bought online after initial vehicle purchase. Did the extended warranty show up in the Lincoln Way app? If so, how long did it take?
Mine did not show up in the Lincoln Way app and I bought it in the middle of July. However, I did call my dealer service department and ask them to check on OASIS and it showed up there which is all that really matters.

Hi 04 Lincoln Town Car. Yes, it should show up in the LincolnWay app.

“Service” > “Warranty” for SYNC 3 vehicles. Hopefully it is the same process, or something similar, for the LincolnWay apps with SYNC 4/Google based systems.

I don’t recall exactly how long it took to populate in the app for me.

I would recommend giving it 2-3 weeks. If it is not showing by then, call Lincoln Concierge.

Keep us updated and good luck.

After getting a quote from Lincoln and trying to get a quote from my dealer (wanted them to match other quotes but called back after several contacts), and contacted Fleet and Granger. I ended up purchasing a 10 y / 100k with $100 deductible, light and fob add ons for $2400 from Fleet. Fleet and Granger had identical prices. Fleet had a better website and almost instant response to questions via contact. It was easy to do online. The rates supposedly went up 10% today (Lincoln and Fleet noted this). The fob and light coverages starts immediately

I usually do not purchase these but this a first year all new design and with all the tech everything is high dollar repairs.

I guess the bean counters figured the 10% would cover the engine recall...

Ford CEO noted that financial results have been impacted significantly due to all the repair issues (not specific to Nautilus) There is a tangible cost due to poor quality and CEO wants to improve.

Beanc ounters think if you have acceptable quality you can relax (scale back activity) but quality is something you do every day. Consider it a journey and not a destination.

You do know that's a sarcastic poster from despair.com? They call them demotivation posters. 😄

After over a month since purchasing the ESP it still had not appeared in the Lincoln Way app. I contacted Granger and received the following response. Just passing it along for information.

"Unfortunately, I am not for sure if it is the same as the Ford Pass app issue. But it may be:
Ford Pass App had an update with their app and the warranties are no longer showing with in Ford Pass. They are aware that they are no longer available in the app. Ford Pass is trying to fix this issue. There is nothing further our dealership can do when it comes to the Ford Pass App at this time.
Your plan is attached to your VIN, which is how other dealerships will see that you have an active ESP warranty."

I was told by Flood that it would not appear in Lincolb Way app too although their web site said otherwise

Hi 04 Lincoln Town Car. Just to add some information which may or may not help.

My LincolnProtect PremiumCare Plan began showing in my LincolnWay app (EDIT- approximately 2-3 weeks after the contract signing), and still shows in my LincolnWay app.

However, there are many variables, such as LincolnWay app differences between various SYNC versions etc. (my vehicle has SYNC 3), so it is difficult to make direct comparisons.
In addition, perhaps the issue the Granger representative is discussing has to do with recently activated contracts, as opposed to longstanding contracts like mine.

However, the rep is correct when stating the contract is tied to the VIN. Therefore, the contract is valid if it shows in the OASIS system at our Dealership. That’s what counts.

Hope this helps and good luck. 🍻

I have found that it is usually the name not matching that prevents it from showing in the Lincoln Way App. You have to make sure the name under which the extended warranty is entered into the system matches the name you have used on the account you created for your Lincoln Way App. Mine did not show up under my Lincoln Way App until I contacted Lombard Ford and had them change the name they entered it under in the Ford Oasis system. Once they did that the next day it showed up in the app.

That seems silly by keying off name rather than VIN,
