2024 delivery schedule

I'm curious. What's the destination charge⁰? My invoice still shows $1395. I think they must honor that based on when you ordered it, or maybe when it was built?
Window stickers indicates $1595.00

Dora at time of order indicates $1395.00

All other pricing is the same.

Pretty sure they honor the DORA price.

Hi swindler. The "Destination charge" is essentially similar to what used to be referred to as a "Destination and Delivery charge", a "Destination charge" and similar phrases.

And yes, the originally quoted Destination charge should be honored (if Lincoln raised it while waiting for production and delivery), if it was listed/noted in a signed Purchase Contract. If no Purchase Contract was signed, we are technically at the mercy of the Dealership. Hopefully you have it memorialized in a written contract.

Keep us updated and good luck.
If I'm not mistaken the dealer can adjust the delivery charges at time of payment and get the money back from Lincoln. Or process with new charge and Lincoln will send you the check.

Thanks again. I think I'll be at their mercy. I signed the pre-order sheet, and signed the X-Plan invoice, but have no contract and nothing signed by them. They can screw me every which way if they want, I'm sure. But then I probably won't be driving home in a Nautilus. 😒

Hi swindler. X-Plan purchase rules do give us certain protections (i.e. Doc fees limited to $100, no additional Dealer fees etc.), but again, it all depends on when the original X-Plan purchase sheet was processed and signed.

Therefore, a word to the wise for everyone purchasing via X-Plan: Always get a fully filled out, signed X-Plan pricing contract when our negotiations are over and we are ready to order/buy. In other words, do not wait until the vehicle is delivered to have a signed pricing contract.

Essentially, for our own protection, strictly follow the buying instructions as listed on the X-Plan website. The rules protect us.

Keep us updated and good luck.

Not following. I ordered and have a DORA for regular price. I joined the Mustang Club and will use X-Plan. I asked Dealer if they accept X-Plan and they said yes. I asked if I needed to re-order under X-Plan and he said no, they'd honor the X-Plan pricing.

I have ordered before X-Plan and nothing other than email stating they'd accept it. Am I screwed?

I'll just be glad when it's done.

Thanks @bbf2530. I read your excellent write up on X-Plan, et al, in another thread. So far, my dealer has been admirable and seems to be above board on everything. But isn't that how some predators snag their prey? Lure them in as if they're your best friend? Then 😵.

No. I didn't know about the X-Plan until January of this year when it came up on the Facebook group. I just didn't know it existed. So I immediately joined EAA and got a PIN knowing it was going to be tight timing. As soon as I got the PIN, I asked my dealer if they'd take it, they said yes. I forwarded them the PIN and they added it to my file.

Now when my car showed up, I didn't go line by line to see if every fee was addressed according to X-PLAN pricing rules which is what I probably would do if I got a PIN before I ordered. I knew going line by line probably wouldn't be best given my situation so I just went along. But I still got the car for about $4K less than my original quote. Not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

The worst case scenario is you simply cancel your order and order a new one with x-plan pricing. I'd wait another 3-4 months for $4K off.

I went through mine. One of the things I noticed was that the X-Plan even discounted the Smile State discount. I.e., I got a smaller discount than the $1500. But like you said, it's still a win.

No, as long the dealer isn't full of ass clowns. One always has to prepared to walk. If the 2024 Nautilus is a high demand vehicle with zero inventory....think 2022 Maverick when they first came out. Dealers were screwing folks over. Pretty sure there is inventory sitting right now. (2024 Nautilus) Look around. Dealer is not interested in making friends just $$$ why mess with you and lose a customer if vehicles are sitting on their lot.

I know everyone has been waiting a long time...almost a year for their cars in some instances. But I agree with you. Be willing to walk if something is amiss.

I am just surprised by the wait. I ordered Nov 11, 2023 and my vehicle is about halfway to Portland.
I really think a lot has to do with dealer allocations. Or my dealer had stock orders coming and was able to substitute my build options on to a vehicle about to get scheduled. I don't know that, but seems my Nautilus is fast tracking. Plus m a Z Planner.

Miraculous Ace just arrived in Portland. It had a direct route from Shanghai, (departed 2/16), so the probability that some of you may have a Nautilus unloaded is high. 🤞
Could that be mine mine was last updated 2/19.

If I ever do get my vehicle, I am putting most of it down with a personal check and financing the rest for 36 months. I think a little banter is okay while the rest of wait for delivery as all we can do is twittle our thumbs.
I'm probably going to end up doing a 24 month lease if Lincoln offers that if not then buy it in cash.

An important point there is that you now have three cars and three drivers. Which means the teenager has to be assigned to one as primary.

I no longer drive, but I'm listed on the insurance. We have two cars (in my name) but three drivers. We assign me and my wife as the two primary drivers, and the son as an ad hoc driver.

Now here's the funny thing. You'd think it would save us money to take me off the insurance policy entirely, since I don't drive. But it would actually cost us more in insurance because the teenager would have to be assigned as a primary.
So you don't drive at all, or you don't drive that car.

Leasing is a nice option if the residuals are good.
I'll look into all of that before I do it, but I normally lease all my vehicles under my business. The only bought vehicles I have are my exotic ones, my daily drivers are all always leased because I like to change them out often.

Sure it could be. But the ship left Shanghai before your last update. Your vehicle would have had to have been scanned and updated 3 days after it left. I think it's more likely to be Glovis Sunrise, which was docked on the day of your last update, and left the day after.

It would be unusual to have two ships depart 4 days apart though. So one probably isn't carrying Nautilus'.

Oh so then is the Nautilus for your wife.

Yes. She's the Pilot. I'm the Navigator. 👨‍✈️

Honestly, it's not the type of car I would buy for myself even if I was still driving.
