2024 delivery schedule

Not to burst anyone’s bubble but I checked with dealer yesterday asking about status of my order and they came up with a new term I hadn’t heard before “exited compound”. Perhaps this is why there was a status update on the order tracking site. My dealers sister location in Saskatchewan has had a couple of 24’s arrive but so far none at my local dealer here in Winnipeg. I was contemplating taking a drive to see one in person but 1100 km round trip changed my mind. At any rate my dealer stated that they have at least two 24’s that are waiting on my order to be released so that their other orders can be shipped via train to my location. We figure at least another couple weeks! Hopefully the snow will be gone by then.

Its possible yours completed some shipping prep or was moved to a pre-loading lot on the 8th.

When they're loaded onto the autorack, they're completely detached from the train. They build a string of autorack railcars in isolation, and they're picked up by a train later.

So yeah, that makes sense.

Yeah ill bet they are just working through the lot. Probably some rhyme or reason also based on route and allocation of autorack cars but also just the order it was parked in the lot. last off the boat might have been first on the train for all we know.

I'm waiting for a vinview update from my dealer so I can see what my update was.

Just recieved a call from my ordering dealership. Nautilus I have on order is en route to Portland. No window sticker yet?
Dealer seems to think window sticker will be available once in port.

To date I have received only a confirmation of order from Lincoln. Nothing else so this was a surprise.

I just did that. Came in this morning. Picking it up in the morning. Glad I went with the BL. If you look close I think it's worth it. Pictures on FB.

Getting back to the '2024 Delivery Schedule' topic…for the ocean trek all of our vehicles are funneled onto the same ship. But for rail most all of us take a different path to the dealer.

I wonder how they prioritize rail deliveries? Volume to a city? Distance? Order priority? Dealer stature? Are the train routes already set and they just attach to whichever one is going to the same place?

I'm looking for rationale as to why I'm still sitting on the river bank.

I'm in the same boat as you and LARS. Updated 2/8 but probably still sitting in Portland. I'm wondering what the update is. I need to get a vinview with the status dates.

status change on 2-6 to on way to dealer.

I guess at this point, I'll just assume mid march. Monday will be 4 weeks its been in Portland.

Got another update today 2/15/24. Now I'm very curious whats going on.. Could be unloading from rail car or even loading to finish the trip by car hauler.

I always assumed those circles were position updates, with the arrows connecting them. Then why would the car symbol still be in Portland? Did you not pay attention and miss your train?

Funny you say that, my salesperson emailed again a couple mins ago and said he thinks that its not in Portland based on the circles and that vinview hasn't updated the car.

I dont have a clue how it works, but when the vehicles were on the boat, and my first vinview after it had been in Portland for a week didnt have circles out in front.

I'm somewhat skeptical that vinview is behind as there is usually a corresponding event. LARS' vinview event log still shows it being in Portland. He has said his new ETA is 3/8 which suggests its on a railcar but not yet en route.

Fyi, @Lars5457 VINView mentions the Union Pacific Portland Barn. Here's a picture of it. You can just imagine quite a few rail cars loaded on these tracks waiting on trains.

I just got a call from my dealer today and he said that my car was just loaded onto a boat and is going to be leaving soon for Portland. But he didn't send me a vin view screenshot when I asked. And then my Lincoln order track page didn't update either. And my Window Sticker still is not available. But he did tell me to expect delivery around late March.

Fyi, I was thinking back and my window sticker first became available about a week after the ship left Shanghai. But I don't believe there is any strict timing to be expected.
