Who has submitted an order for the new 2024 Nautilus?

We are farrrrrrrrrrr below Xplan pricing on 23s now. Most are $8-10k off MSRP. Once our lot gets loaded up with 24s the older ‘outdated’ 23 Nautilus will become dead weight. Lincoln wants them GONE!
Probably not the best example. I just meant that the discount is modest, which is why it extends all the way out to friends of partner companies.

My father worked for 35 years at one of the competitors in downtown Detroit and the employee plan we had was tremendous. We sometimes literally sold the car a year later at a profit, which of course they strongly discouraged. But it kept my Mom in a new car most of the time. And it gave each of his kids a great(?) starter vehicle out of school.

(I haven't used the plan in over 20 years, which tells you something about what I think of their vehicles.)

I ended up placing my order last night. Put down a $500 CAD deposit. Ordered a Reserve (Reserve is the only option in Canada...) 203A Hybrid w/Jet Package and Carpet Red exterior. Dealer gave me $4699 discount off the MSRP.
That's around $3500 USD. I think that's a great deal. 👏

Those are USB-C ports, btw. Micro USB would have been a disappointment, but USB-C are great to have.
Yes. Far be it from me to keep up with what they call them these days. :)
Still an interesting place to put them.

Congrats, I ordered the Reserve, with Jet and electronics package in May. It was shipped mid December. As my Brother is a retired Ford (Oakville) worker I got the Z plan. I always order and someone wants my trade in as it does not have significant Kilometers (2019 Reserve with 60,000 Kilometres.

Do not know when it will be in but makes little difference as it will sit in the show room until we return to Canada late April.

You mean everyone that goes into the showroom will be sitting in it and scratching the leather, dash, exterior and getting it all smelly and dirty?
No thanks.

Doubtful they’d keep a sold order on the floor around everyone
We certainly wouldn’t

I agree that it's doubtful. But I once bought a vehicle, paperwork and everything was complete, and asked the dealer to hold on to the vehicle for a day before I picked it up. I returned the next day and noted that the odometer had increased by 12 miles and found cupcake sprinkles on the back seat (maybe ice cream). I ranted at the sales manager for a while, and grudgingly took the vehicle home.

They know we leave in early November each year. They kept my wife’s Mach e , California Route on the floor locked last year so I expect nothing different this year.

Dealer told me I have to live in same household based on company rules of his company. Does that make sense?
I know there's different rules and limitations for each partner company, so if he says so, yeah.

Got an update from my salesman today. I ordered my Nautilus on 12/26/23. He informed me No VIN number yet however I have been selected for build week of 2/26/2024. I think that is pretty quick myself.

You should get a VIN number by email soon. Mine ended up in the spam/junk folder, so you may want to check there. That will have a link to perform tracking through the production phase.

Okay, THANKS for that info. I wasn't expecting it until production actually started. Appreciate you.

So I asked the dealer if my prior employer that I retired from was a Partner Company. Sure enough they are. So the story ends ok. Got a new pin and should be good to go once the car gets to the dealer. I appreciate their help. Also test drove a Black Label, Jet Package today. Car interior is unbelievable. Not a Jet Appearance package fan, but everyone has their own preferences. Very nice, and luxurious car. Can't imagine anyone will be disappointed with their choices.

Hi Khak4. Yes, according to the type of X-Plan PIN, it makes complete sense. Just some additional information which may be helpful for those looking to use one of the various types of X-Plan PINs available:

First…Acceptance of X-Plan PINS and deals is completely up to Dealer discretion. They are not required to accept them. Additionally, according to Plan rules, we are supposed to tell the dealership that we plan on using an X-Plan PIN at the time we negotiate pricing and/or sign a purchase order. Of course, we can always tell them/ask later, as some here will be forced to, but again, the dealership is not required to accept it. Therefore, it is always best to try and follow the rules when we can, to avoid unpleasant surprises later.

Next…There are various types of X-Plan PINS available, and eligibility can vary. Some of them are:
- Ford Employee/Ford Retiree X-Plan PINS. These are available for “Friends and Neighbors” of Ford Employees and Retirees. We ask them, and they can register us for a PIN.
- Ford Partner Company X-Plan PINS. These are available to qualifying employees of “Ford Partner” companies. Only the actual Partner Company employee, and those residing in the same household/at the same address, are eligible to use these PINS. For those PINS, the qualifying Partner Company Employee obtains their company code from their HR Department (or equivalent), and use it to register on the “Ford Partner Company” X-Plan website, where the Partner Company employee can then register for an X-Plan PIN for themself, or for a qualifying resident of their household.
EDIT- I’ve never counted the total number of eligible Ford Partner companies, but they probably number well over a thousand, and are not limited to automotive companies at all. They run the gamut of all types of companies.
- Club X-Plan PINS. These include clubs like the Mustang Club of America and others. I believe the rules for those are the same as for Ford Partner Company X-Plan PINs. Only the qualifying Club Member and those residing at the same household/address are eligible to use a PIN. And there is usually a waiting period after joining the club before a PIN can be generated. 90 days is common. I’ve never used or provided one of those. Taking an educated guess, I’m assuming there is a website for the club where the club member would register and obtain a PIN for themself or other qualifying individual residing in their household/address.

All of that being said, rules enforcement by Ford/Lincoln is minimal. The company is only able to audit a small minority of Dealership X-Plan sales. Therefore, some dealerships will skirt the rules and/or be “unaware” of the rules. But according to the rules, Partner Company and Club X-Plan PINs are only good for the eligible Partner employee and/or Cub member, and residents of the same household/address. And proof of residency is supposed to be asked for by, and provided to the dealership.

Also keep in mind that since rules enforcement by Ford/Lincoln is somewhat minimal, we are responsible to self-police and be sure the Dealership follows the pricing rules. Over the years of helping others with various Plan purchases (probably ~50 family, friends, neighbors), ~90% of the sales staff I have dealt with have “accidentally” misread the rules and “accidentally” overcharged on the deal until their “error” was pointed out to them. Even then, some tried to insist they were correct, until the rules were pulled up for them to read. There are honest dealerships, but ultimately, it is up to us to know the rules and protect/stand up for our rights.

I have previously provided links to the Partner Company rules website, and the Partner Company registration website many times.
If anyone is interested, but can’t find those links with a site search here, you can Google “Ford Partner Company rules), or let me know and I’ll post them again.

Sorry for any typos etc., as I typed this up on my phone. So it is hopefully written in an understandable manner that helps, and good luck. 🍻

Great summary. This should help others looking to see if they might qualify. I assume you are lumping in retirees into the company partnership rules as well. Thanks for your help. As always.

Hi Khak4. You are very welcome!
Honestly, I am not sure about the eligibility/qualification rules concerning Ford Partner Company retirees to obtain Ford Partner Company X-Plan PINS.

I will take a look through the Ford Partner Company rules package when I am home and can view it all more easily on a computer screen (versus this quite smaller phone screen😉).

In the meantime, if it helps, here is the Ford Partner Company Recognition website:

And I’ll also post back when I have the definitive answer.

EDIT- I had an extra minute to take a look through the above website, and it does mention “retirees”. So I will give a qualified “yes” that Ford Partner Company retirees seem to be eligible. I would also add this caveat…Assuming as long as they have the necessary company identification, to prove they were a qualified employee/retiree to show the dealership if/when asked.

Good luck. 🍻
