My Lincoln
Lincoln Navigator 2023
Hello !

Lincoln Navigator 2023 just purchased with 59 miles the power running boards stoped working.

Any idea?

did you check the settings for them to make sure they're set to "auto"? outside of that i'd do a master reset and or pull the battery cables for a bit to see if they reset.

That has happened to me and I brought it in and it's still does it randomly. I'm documenting it now. You have to go under features, running boards, and switch back to automatic. It randomly shuts them off. It's so annoying!!!

I have the same problem. More than annoying. A safety issue when I have elderly passengers.

When opening the passenger door the passenger side RB deploys, pauses a few seconds and then retracts. Sometimes it actually remains deployed as it should, anyone else experiencing this behavior? Drivers side works normally.

I have a 2023 and the running boards are working as expected. I also am up to date with all software. It really sucks that you all are having so many issues with this and it's clearly not working correctly. You all need to get them back to the dealers and get them fixed as soon as you can. This should not be happening with the amount of money we are paying for these vehicles.

2023 navigator - same issue. Had the car for a month and had to go to setting 4 times to turn back to auto mode (randomly goes to off)

Well known issue amongst Navigator owners. But, hopefully owners are reporting this to Lincoln and not just in internet forums like this. Otherwise, a fix will never happen. That said, if an update has or does address this issue, we will never know since they never admit to fixing specific issues.

I have a 2023 L and the running boards keep doing the same, there are several other electrical issues as well along with the running boards.
Passenger side mirror will randomly go out of sync while one opens the other remains folded, wireless charger or the wired charger work one at a time, volume will go down almost as if a speaker blew, trunk will not fully open from the trunk. We have mentioned it to Lincoln, yet all we hear is “technicians could not duplicate”

I worry about “technicians could not duplicate” and the time I would waste hitting my head against the wall.

My wife fell out off our 2023 Lincoln Navigator L running board fail to open once we stop. This has happened several times I think we need to contact the national safety board. Because when stop you expect to step out of a vehicle that sits up high on something and not fall on the concrete.

What's the point of having one of the safest vehicles on the market if a convenience feature you'd expect to wrk properly on a brand new 100k vehicle literally makes it unsafe. That's a broken ankle waitin to happen. My 2020 passenger board is acting up and sometimes I worry out my wife getting out and messing up her ankle or somethin.

I am having the same issue with my 2023 Navigator. The running board settings randomly go from auto to off. I have to keep resetting back to auto.

Yeah I have a 2023 Black Label and its done this also twice the boards shut themselves off and I had to get into the truck without them and turn them back on auto. I have only had this truck for 6-weeks and 391 miles.

My 2021 Black Label L never did this in the two years I owned it!

I`m sorry to hear that that`s a big issue and i`m very thankfull that my truck has not had that issue.

Please contact Lincoln in Detroit so they want think I am the only one. And take it on to your dealership it's a safety concern because you expect it to be there when you open your door. This will be the 4th time for me and please record it on your phone for proof. Thanks
