2023 Corsair orders, build dates

As I'm seeing more 2023 Lincoln Corsairs coming in, I'm happy to see that the front license plate is above the bumper and just below the grill's Lincoln star. Here's a GT from Covert Ford/Lincoln in Austin, Texas.

If your dealer installs the license plate holder so it's hanging down over the front bumper, I think it's a mistake.

I told my dealership 4 times not to install the front license plate bracket. Most recently on the day that it was delivered. You can see it in the back of the car, uninstalled when it was delivered. Well guess what? They installed it when they were detailing it. Drilled 4 holes in the grill. Guess who has a new grill on order?
They drill the grill to install? Must be thru the Lincoln shaped emblems that repeat in the grill? You have me thinking that although we have two plates required I should go the route of 'Vettes and Teslas and chance not being pulled over and tell my dealer to not install the bracket too!

So taking home tomorrow but stopped by to drop something off. Since this hasn't been shown before. If you happen to live in a lame state (like I do) that requires a front plate, here is what the placement looks like. View attachment 17102
This front-plate bracket installation had me puzzled until I realized that the bracket has been installed upside-down!

The front-plate bracket for the 2023 Corsair has three attachment points used to affix the bracket to the vehicle: One at the center of the top edge of the bracket and two located near the bracket's left and right edges. The Corsair comes from the factory with three inconspicuous holes in the black part of the grill: One hole centered beneath the Lincoln star and two holes just above the horizontal chrome bumper.

The pictured front-plate bracket appears to have its top-centered hole at its bottom rather than its top. This leads me to conclude that the person who installed this bracket affixed it upside-down and the bracket's top-most hole has nothing to which it can attach.

Granted, the holes in the grill for mounting the front-plate bracket are difficult to see -- and that's a good thing --but, gosh, Lincoln dealers should be competent enough to install the bracket right-side up. And one more thing: There's no reason to drill additional holes in the grill to mount a front plate; the holes are already there from the factory.

AND comparing the plate location on the 2020-2022 Corsairs to the 2023, it seems to be in the exact relative location, with the redesigned grill behind.
