2023 Corsair orders, build dates

My wife's 2023 Corsair Reserve (ordered 9/21/2022) arrived at our Lincoln dealership on May 10 at 3:28 p.m. During pre-delivery inspection, the dealer found a couple of minor glitches (residue on paint on driver's door and a little scuff on the interior of the passenger A-pillar) they want to correct before we take delivery. They say it will be perfect and ready to go next Monday, May 15.

Regarding the front license plate mount, my wife's Corsair arrived with the front plate bracket stashed with the floor mats in the luggage compartment. We'll be using a single (green) Massachusetts license plate on the rear of the vehicle, so I asked the dealer not to install the front plate bracket.

What I know for sure is that the Corsair's grill has three holes into which the plate bracket snaps. The upper-most hole is located just below the Lincoln star, so the top edge of the bracket -- and the license plate -- is located as shown in Post #1,134 above. Don't know how you could install it any other way.

FWIW, here's a pic of my wife's Crystal Red Corsair fresh off the car carrier at the dealership:

Thats the same color we picked for our GT. Since we ordered the color sight unseen let me ask, are you happy with it now seeing it "live". We picked the Smoked Truffle interior. What color is yours?

BTW, your leaving the front plate off and rolling the dice you wont be constantly stopped and ticketed?

Yes. Both my wife and I are pleased with the Crystal Red color. It's very dark and depending on how the light hits it, you can detect red, brown, and maybe a little aubergine coloring blended into the paint. Lots of metallic in there, too. At night, I'm sure it will appear almost black, and it's a color that will need to be kept clean and polished to look its best.

My wife selected the Sandstone interior. Just a personal preference.

Congratulations! Good Luck and Happy Motoring

In Massachusetts, it's legal to use a single rear license plate if it's a "green" plate. There aren't many remaining, but I have three legal green plates. My oldest is from 1984. Here's a sample of what our green plates look like:

Does anyone have a picture of their 2022 or 2023 Corsair in "Red Carpet". Our dealer has no paint samples (they are too cheap to spend $11K for the Lincoln color package). The photos on the website are shot at night and are pretty useless.

I told my dealership 4 times not to install the front license plate bracket. Most recently on the day that it was delivered. You can see it in the back of the car, uninstalled when it was delivered. Well guess what? They installed it when they were detailing it. Drilled 4 holes in the grill. Guess who has a new grill on order?

Lincoln has me so frustrated I'm not thinking straight. Yes, the Feb '22 order placement was for the '22 GT. I ordered the '23 GT on September 13th and it was confirmed September 14th, 2022 🤯
Hang in there! Hopefully, you have received your new Corsair GT by now. I ordered my 23 GT on Sept 14 and picked it up from the dealer on May 9. It is worth the wait but sure was a frustrating experience.

Here are several of our departed (totaled) 21 Corsair in Red Carpet.

Mine is bolted on w/4 HD screws/bolts. If it falls off it's because the bumper fell off too 🤪
Owned a '78 Fiat Spider for 24 years and never put on the front plate, sold it 2 months ago...the new owner took it out the first week he owned it, got stopped and ticketed! LOL
